Kevin is one of the producers who helped shape the sound of techno music in the 1980s. He gained fame as one-third of the Belleville Three before his solo career took off with hits like "Big Fun" and "Good Life." Saunderson founded his own record label, KMS Records, which became a platform for emerging techno artists. Kevin's influence can be heard in the work of countless artists who have followed in his footsteps, cementing his legacy as a pioneer of techno music.

On July 25, 2025, Detroit Techno Militia invited me to close out their takeover of Spkrbox, helping me celebrate a huge birthday. This was a very special night, and it felt like my homecoming. While my last posted set for Bang Tech 12 was on all vinyl, on this one I finally got to break out my digital vinyl remasters and rock a proper set with them live. Gotta say, it felt really good!

We had a hot mic going and it picked up some fun moments. I closed out the set with a Detroit classic that’s had more emotional import on me than I could begin to articulate.
