┋Mira presents 'Tributo de los Andes' Afterhour Sounds Podcast Nr. 83┋

Unser Podcast Nummer 83 kommt diese Woche von niemanden Geringerem als von der bezaubernden und umwerfenden Mira. 

Lange Jahre beeinflusste Mira die ost-deutsche Techno-Szene bevor sie vor ca. 10 Jahren ihre musikalische Heimat in der legendären BAR25 in Berlin, später Kater Holzig und jetzt Kater Blau fand. Während ihrer Zeit in Berlin hat sie ihren ureigenen Sound geformt, der an endlose Nächte voller Wunder und Gefühlstiefe erinnert.

In der Bar25 war es auch, wo sich Miras Wege zum ersten Mal mit Chris Schwarzwalder, NU und Jo Ke kreuzten; daraus entstanden sind nicht nur lebenslange Freundschaften sondern auch kreativer musikalischer Austausch, Kooperationen und ein nicht enden wollender Output an toller Musik.

Jeder, der selbst schon einmal in den Genuss ihrer endlosen Sets gekommen ist, versteht sofort warum ganz Berlin ihren speziellen Sound so sehr schätzt. Warm und  hypnotisierend geht er unter deine Haut und lässt dich mit einem Gefühl tiefer Verbundenheit zurück.

Ihre Erlebnisse und Gefühle eines 2-monatigen Peru/Anden-Trip stecken nun in diesem entschleunigten Meisterwerk. Vielen Dank liebe Mira das du dir die Zeit genommen hast und unseren Hörern wünsch ich maximalste Freude bei dieser Reise.

"Jo Que?" feat. Wide Awake - A Visit to the Crystal Museum

Sweden's Mälmo continues basking under the reign of Prins Emanuel. This summer, the Prins brings his first ever full length solo album to The Magic Movement – a concept album that revolves around the medium of the vinyl record itself. Arbete/Fritid, translated from Swedish to read "Work/Leisure Time", are the moods reflected in the LP's two sides. An early Friday evening A-side and a Sunday afternoon B-side – if you will (insert something about Four Tet doing it first here).

The entire work exhibits the a multi-instrumental vision, with the Prins' past experience as a drummer coming through loud and clear. "Bike Chase" brings much of the well loved tropical percussion and hypnotic grooves we had been anticipating. Guaranteed satisfaction for fans of the Swede's former output on the Fasaan/Chalice label.

Catch Arbete/Fritid in full, dropping this summer via The Magic Movement.

Thanks to Michael from "Amor y Paz" and the amazing castle crew for building a space in which we could celebrate together with open heart and allow  let go and experience something that connects with our inner core. The combination of the planets and  this fullmoon really  created some beautifully loving, truthful, caring, opening energy for us to play with! 
It is an amazing experience to meet people who have the capacity to dissolve any barriers we may have erected and remind us that we are all from the same source of joy. This  event at one of the most beautiful locoations i ever played .These wonderful grounds high above Lake Atitlan felt like they were  a reminder for us to stand in our truth (high rock) despite any confusion surrounding us (low mist)  .

Coffee Shop At The End Of The Universe Vol. 4

Lange bevor es unseren Podcast gab, sind wir schon auf den Namen http://soundcloud.com/shuffle (der international ohne ä geschrieben wird) gestoßen. Als Stammmitglied der„Kater Holzig“-Crew ist er längst eine feste Größe der Berliner Club- und Electro-Szene. Seine Livesets „Santanegra“ und „Donkeyride“ sind beide in den ewigen Top Ten unserer Lieblings-Sets vertreten. Sein Sound ist einfach unverwechselbar. Düster, in Moll gehalten und oft auch leicht klagend. Kein Wunder, dass man auch beim Kölner Label http://soundcloud.com/lautundluise auf ihn aufmerksam wurde. Entsprechend riesig war unsere Freude, als uns Chris gleich zu Beginn unserer Podcast-Reihe seine Unterstützung signalisierte.

Was wir zu der Zeit noch nicht wussten: Etliche Releases standen für ihn bevor. Seine Akumal-EP auf Laut & Luise ging direkt nach Erscheinen durch die Decke und auch seine Mirror-EP auf http://soundcloud.com/katermukke schlägt ein wie eine Bombe. Da wundert es nicht, dass Künstler wie http://soundcloud.com/n-u oder Acid Pauli sich den Berliner für einen Remix oder gleich für eine Co-Produktion ins Studio holen.

Man wird also verstehen, dass wir ziemlich stolz darauf sind, dass Chris sich die Zeit nahm, für uns eins seiner sehr, sehr raren DJ-Sets zu erstellen und unseren Podcast damit zu bereichern. Schon nach dem ersten Track wird klar: Das wird eine emotionale und tiefgründige Stunde. Uns hat sie schlichtweg umgehauen, und wir sind sicher nicht die einzigen, denen es so gehen wird.
