After a rain induced pause, Niemand & Keiner slowed down the pace a lot. Between 110 and 113 BPM their travel from dark to light was devoted to the dancers and chillers, who needed a little bit of rest from the hammering Tanzwüste and the other, harder floors. Accompanied by the beautiful sun, they emptied their treasure box 5 hours in a row (17°° to 22°°). Here are the last three hours of their journey.

Dwson (pronounced Daw-son) is a young Capetonian producer, and one of the most sought- after electronic artists in South Africa at the moment. Effortlessly breathing new life into the local deep house scene with his  dubbed-out sound, Dwson sets a clear vision, with  diverse and refreshingly distinct ways that refuse to be tied to one style of house. Thus far he has taken stages at major events such as, consecutive Cape Town Electronic Music Festivals, Oppikoppi, RedBull Music Academy, ULTRA, Rocking the Daisies, Synergy and Design Indaba to name but a few. His latest offering, the Glimpses Of You EP released in February 2019, boasts 3 stunning vocal features in folk favourite Dumama, guitar-wielding  Roxy Caroline and his ever present muse, Sio, as well as one instrumental track,  reminding all who listen that his slick, clean productions are unlike anything we have previously heard.

DHSA Podcast 002: Dwson

I haven't done a serious mix in a while and somehow it ended up being a blend of melancholy blues, swing and heaps of tropical courtesy of some of my favourite producers at the moment. 

The last time I did a mix I was still using vinyl so I wanted to experiment with sorting one out entirely digitally. It's not as easy as it should be...mostly just difficult keeping the quality up after having had to rerecord MP3s at altered tempos for the mixes. If any of the artists featured in the mix feel like sending me full wavs or aifs of their tunes then I'd be delighted to slot them back in at higher quality. Here's the tracklist.
