The Secret Sun rises once again, this time shining its light on the treasures stored in Dan Piu’s incredibly vast production archive, which dates back to the early ’90s. Selecting the music for this EP was a long but inspiring quest, a deeply rewarding dive into Dan’s artistic journey. It offers an insight into the studio universe of one of the producers we respect the most, and with whom we share the same vision and love for music.
We are grateful to once again bring to light four forgotten and unreleased productions from the ’90s, this time by Dan, infused with the novelty and ingenuity of that era, under the moniker Sensefinite.

The release kicks off with ‘Handy Boy (Casa De Mama Mix)’, a track characterized by its fierce drums and vocal chops; think prime Junior Vasquez through a contemporary lens and you’re getting there. Second up on the A side is ‘Big Nik’s Speed Garage’, a subtle yet driving track which showcases the intricacies of Liquid Earth’s productions. The flip opens with ‘Lick Of Life (Just A Little Mix)’. Again, we see the Barcelona based producer’s dexterity on the buttons, this time fusing a jazzy bass & synth topline line with shuffling, impactful drums. Rounding off proceedings is the slinky ‘Clubber’s Exit’. Vocals provided by the man himself, with vocoder manipulation in full effect, Freels solders 80s sleaze with a highly functional electro-inspired house groove, making for a perfect closing stanza to an impressive first outing for Mr. Liquid on the imprint.

The EP is presented with 2 digital bonuses, instrumental cuts of ‘Handy Boy (Casa De Mama Mix)’ and ‘Clubber’s Exit’.

Adam Collins new solo ep and his latest innovation for the tech house underground label: Rhythm Trax Recordings Vienna. Run by Chris Rhythm and exclusive at 3345 records Vienna (3345ROOM). 

Adam Collins is a pioneering artist in the US underground house music and launched his career in Chicago by co-founding the band Omni A.M. and the label Euphoria Records. His sound and vinyl craftsmanship are shaped by experience at Chicago’s gramophone and south London Swag records, both iconic hubs for electronic music. 

Adam continues to shape the underground landscape, and deliver a four track ep:

“Acid Truth” is a bubbling acid bass tech house tune. The hypnotic bleeps and shuffles space sounds in “Newar” makes the bass before you know it. “Delegates” is the perfect missing link which followings the sound of the London underground Wiggle scene. If you don’t know “You Think You Know” you will know then what house music is.
