The four track release from the Naarm/Melbourne native is a techy excursion that subtly meshes elements of minimal with modern UK bass dynamics, informed by the Australian’s psychedelic production style.

‘Utility’ sparks the ignition with a bass-driven peak time beast that morphs through syncopated grooves and punchy drops, the A2 ‘Electrolyte’ takes a hedonistic turn where resonant tones spiral across a rolling 4x4 drum groove. 

‘Breathe’ steers us onto the B-side with dubbed out subs and percussive layers fusing up across this impeccable roller. ‘Stay Playful’ takes on a early-tech house feel with tribal drums and hypnotic echoes that venture on throughout the night. Digital bonus track ‘Love Sensation’ draws UK-Garage influences combined with lush pads and quirky vocal snippets drifting amid the tops.

For the first time we are welcoming Molen to the label. The man is a true gem from the exquisite country Uruguay and has produced four unique cuts specially for the hub of Exarde. Each track shows vast and profound level of skill of the artist and are guaranteed to make the sound systems shake from inside to the outside. The emotions are plastic and have been captured bit by bit on this 12” vinyl disc for our sonic pleasure. Molen has been a close friend of the label for quite long time so it is a true honour to welcome him with a full EP which oozes the dark flavour that is so close and warming to the labels sound&vision. Having said all that, I think it is time to indulge into “Plastic Emotions” and give these four audio trips a spin they truly deserve.

The labels catalogue is welcoming a third full feature album by no other than the young and promising producer from the UK – Phase ‘O Matic. This body of work marks the second LP by the artist in five years therefore to say the excitement levels can be measured by the excitement meter and these levels would be scientifically speaking - through the roof. From the opening track “Welcome to the Night” to the closing “The Weapon” which is named after the title of the album, the artist has demonstrated his impeccable production skills and knowledge of the 90’s sound with the modern twist applied. Over the years of hard work, he has developed his own sound and from what can be heard here safely could be said that this release is most definitely the weapon of mass destruction which has been added to the artist’s collection of releases. Plastic GRN channels that classic 90s Xpander sound, Alfred Czital drops a dance floor annihilator, while Dutch duo Match Box keeps it as bright and club-ready as ever. It’s a full spectrum of sound, each track weaving into the next with peak energy and timeless hooks.

Progression, progression, progression — it’s shaped our sound from the start. Uplifting, expanding, always pushing into the outer zones. And of course, no 6-year celebration of ND would be complete without a deep dive. Dubbed-out rollers and hypnotic house cuts come courtesy of Baumb, Glen S, and Harrison BDP. Fresh off his second EP last month, Baumb returns with those trademark low-end orbs, guiding us through the fog with finesse. Glen S strips it back and locks into a tech-deep groove. BDP lands on F1 — sublime, heads-down deep house with that unmistakable sample finesse. Pure signature gear.

A nod to the 9 incredible artists who feature on the release through digital exclusives — Astro alongside Ash Is, Rounds & Plastic GRN, Primitive Needs, Hotpretty, Tourman, Skinner (making his way through the Pyramid Fields portal), and Wigs — whose Trigger Step track has been getting heavy rotation.
