This is the first remix released for my Against The Odds Of Entropy remixed album.  This song, "Orale," is the first track on the record and has been masterfully remixed by my friend Tor, who is one of my favorite producers out right now.  His music is CRAZY dope, and you should check out his albums Drum Therapy and Blue Book immediately after listening to this remix if you don't already know about them!  Word!

This is a super sic remix of the second track on my Against The Odds Of Entropy album, "At Home In The Dark," by my friend https://soundcloud.com/keithsweaty.  I have loved Keith's productions and remixes ever since we met back in San Diego's electronic music scene around 2008 when I was doing Inspired Flight and he was doing his Jamuel Saxon project.  We have always wanted to work together, and while you will likely see a 9 Theory x Keith Sweaty original collab later in the year, for now having him remix this track was a perfect way to get things going.  Bump it!

I love Blockhead's unique production style and sound, which you can definitely feel and hear in this remix.  Blockhead is one of my favorite artists to spin records of while I'm chilling at home, one of my favorite artists to play shows and hang with, and I feel honored to have him be part of this Against The Odds Of Entropy remixed album.  Bump it!

The acclaimed NYC producer BLOCKHEAD is teaming up with Long Beach’s YPPAH and Boston’s ARMS AND SLEEPERS for a full North American tour this fall. To celebrate the occasion, Future Archive Recordings is thrilled to present a joint release between the three artists titled 'Hermit Kingdom: Remixes'. With each artist remixing one track from the other two artists, this 6-song EP will offer an eclectic mix of reenvisioned material, exploring the electronic music spectrum without restraint. Blending hip-hop, shoegaze, jazz, downtempo, and psychedelic influences, among others, 'Hermit Kingdom: Remixes' manages to stand as a cohesive whole rather than as just another collection of remixes. While there are obvious common threads among the three artists, each brings a unique perspective on electronic music that shines in conjunction with the original material being remixed.

Tony Simon, aka Blockhead, has been making and releasing utterly distinctive, funky and emotive music for the last two decades. Formerly signed to Ninja Tune, Blockhead’s most recent album ‘Funeral Balloons’ was released in September 2017 via Backwoodz Studioz.

Yppah (born Joe Corrales Jr.) has forged a career marked by ethereality and dynamism, brought up on equal parts My Bloody Valentine and hip-hop. His 2015 album ‘Tiny Pause’ was released courtesy of Ninja Tune imprint Counter Records.

The electronic music duo Mirza Ramic and Max Lewis have been actively releasing music and touring worldwide as Arms and Sleepers since 2006. Their latest album ‘Find The Right Place’ was released via Pelagic Records in April 2018.

Sinking the original chilled melody of ‘DELIRIA’ deep into a bed of trip-hop and ethereal wonder, Arms and Sleepers add old school static reverberations to the single and lightens the bass lines, calling to a summer evening in the wild. Sonically echoing the weightless and pillowed thoughts accompanied by a confused mental state, the song is gentle with an emphasis placed on the ethereal vocals.
