BCCO x SoundCloud New Faces shines a spotlight on the freshest new talent in our industry. 

Almost 100 artists applied for Season 3 of New Faces and from those applicants we chose 15.

From all of the mixes in Season 3, three will win special prizes. There is a Public Choice Award, chosen based on engagement by the SoundCloud Algorithm. There is a BCCO Residents award chosen by BCCO artists @future_666, @uberkikz, @phlbrg and @djhyperdrive. And there is a Tresor Booking Team Award where one set will be chosen by the team at the famous Berlin Club and will go onto play at a BCCO New Faces night at Tresor.

Season 3 runs until April 2025 and winners will be announced then.

he Berlin-based producer duo Kalte Liebe keeps drawing their inspiration from Post-Punk, Grunge, Dark Wave, EBM, and Techno.
Coming with years-long experiences in different musical projects ranging from beat-making over metal bands, and more they started back in 2019 using a drum machine, a bass synth, and a wasted microphone, only.

Authentically recorded in a 12 square meter room Kalte Liebe started out as an experiment combining diverse influences by the likes of DAF, Falco, Thomas P. Heckmann and more into their distinctively analog, raw, and bassline-driven style.

While their productions are mostly consisting of an elaborated mixture of EBM and old-school Dark Wave paired with technoid characteristics and captivating, roughly distorted vocals in German and English the duo equally stands for tool-ish and highly energetic Techno – modern, pounding, and dirty.

With recent releases on labels like 01010100 Records, Vitus Curse and BFT, even more strongly performing self-releases like „Ego EP“ and their recent work „Dopamin“ they are slowly establishing their name in the scene and quickly growing their audience. With loads of unreleased work and their Vocal Live Performance Kalte Liebe is soon to be heard all over.

Involve Records proudly announces the upcoming release, Talkative Tools - a cutting-edge EP by the dynamic duo Blame The Mono. The EP kicks off with "Pane Smasher," combining dark techno beats with futuristic grooves and soundscapes. The track's unique character is further enhanced by distorted reggae vocal shots, leading to a break dominated by an amen break-based drum and bass rhythm. Keeping the pace up, "Dump The Dealer," an elaborate, detail-rich track that showcases Blame The Mono's mastery in sound design, follows. When we asked Pegassi to make a mix for us, he said yes immediately. With more than 3 months to the deadline, he chilled. A little too much, and he missed the date.

Determined to get it done, Pegassi packed his DJ setup, took it on a flight to Berlin, and recorded the mixtape in his hotel room in one take before playing at a gig. fumi is a Berlin-based American DJ and producer whose artistic journey has flourished in just two years. A resident of 240 KM/H and a member of Aurora Kollektiv, she draws inspiration from old-school sounds, particularly outside the realm of electronic music. Influenced by hip-hop, bossa nova, and jazz, fumi weaves these genres into her sets with ease. Her musical identity is rooted in driving, energetic grooves, but her style also incorporates bounce, trance, hard house, and acid. Known for quick mixing and original blends, every set is a unique experience.

This mix was recorded at fumi's childhood home, where she had to rely on simple equipment and focus on sharp track selection and creative blending with just two decks. The result is a groovy set that captures what she’s loving right now. For fumi, groove is where her soul finds peace, and playing a groovy set feels like pure music therapy.

German duo Glaskin make their full EP debut on SHDW’s Mutual Rytm imprint. 

Glaskin is the alias of two brothers, Jonathan and Ferdinand, based in Munich. The pair have emerged as key figures in the city’s electronic music scene as longtime residents of the renowned Blitz Club, standing out as homegrown talents amongst its vibrant electronic landscape. Bringing a unique, forward-thinking techno style, as evidenced by their contributions to Mutual Rytm’s Federation Of Rytm II and III compilations in previous years, they now mark a new chapter and open 2025 in style with their debut 12” on the label, ‘Inertia Of Motion’. Each cut on the EP has been handcrafted with analogue gear, reflecting their distinctive artistic and sonic vision. The release is a direct outcome of the creative process behind their live set, which has become an integral part of the duo’s identity and shows a natural evolution of their singular sound. 

‘Hush Up’ kicks things off with deep, rubbery and rolling techno rhythms. The drums are stripped back and laced with pulsing synth patterns and spoken word snippets that add a freaky edge. ‘Double Tap’ ups the anti with classic, pumping deep techno with smart filters adding movement to the track as urgent leads hurry onwards. ‘Inertia’ brings a more anxious atmosphere with tightly coiled drums and perc and eerie bell sounds ring out over the fat, twisted bassline. The brilliant ‘Tank’ brings mind-melting loopy techno with dubby chords and textured leads warming their way between the beats to great effect, while ‘Motion’ is suspenseful techno that locks you into a high-speed groove peppered with thumping hits and kicks. Last of all, digital bonus ‘Blushed Blue’ explores a moody, minimal, late- night techno sound that is warm, stylish and hypnotic to close the show.

Active since 1994, Be As One boss Shlomi Aber has brought his unique style of Techno to esteemed imprints such as Cocoon, Ovum, Nonplus, Figure, and CLR. Returning to Chris Liebing’s imprint, Aber follows his month-long Beatport chart-topping 2022 ‘Can’t Sleep’ EP and subsequent 2023 ‘Remote 101’ EP with ‘Limelight’, another versatile package of quality Techno cuts.

Founded by influential techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists, including Dubfire, Flug, Bjarki, DJ Dextro, and more. It has also focused on developing newer acts in the scene, such as Risa Taniguchi, The Southern, and Klint.

Georgian powerhouse Yanamaste drops long-anticipated new EP on Mutual Rytm. 

In-demand DJ/producer Yanamaste is a resident at Georgia’s renowned Khidi Club and a key part of Amsterdam’s Vault Sessions crew. His unique sound and fresh creative approach result in raw and visceral techno, reflecting his passion for pushing boundaries and showcased perfectly via his ‘Dance’ EP on Vault last year. Now, he returns with an EP born out of the creative process behind his live set with a debut appearance on SHDW’s Mutual Rytm, ‘Evil’ - a collection of heavily-requested tracks that have already made an impact after featuring in his Boiler Room and Stone Techno Festival livestream. 

‘Evil’ kicks things off with perfectly rubbery, funky drum patterns and an urgent sense of movement that sweeps you off your feet. ‘Lahante’ is more percussive, with busy snares riding the rolling, forceful drums and stark synths arresting your attention. ‘Dragonfly’ is perfectly reduced via minimal drums intertwined with thunderous effects and ghoulish energy, while ‘Modulation Detected’ has a more cosmic feel as it journeys into the future with whispered spoken words and synths searching across the face of the groove. Last but not least is the irresistible broken beat goodness of ‘Walking On Mars’, with its swinging kicks and vast bassline spraying about the mix beneath hypnotic melodic patterns. 

Two superb bonus cuts, ‘Ohohoi’ and ‘Pwiu’, are also provided for digital buyers, bringing further gems loaded with moody depths and compelling rhythms.
