He may not be a familiar name to you yet Dim Zach is a rare occurence: a charismatic, talented DJ turned prolific producer and songwriter who, having imposed himself through sheer talent and hard work, has become ubiquitous in his country, Greece. A shift many dream of, although few achieve as successfully. And for good reason, blessed with a mission (real name) Dimosthenis Zachariadis rarely fails to generate feelgood emotions, beaming up listeners to the dancefloor of an imaginary Mediterranean nightclub of his own hedonist creation.

A self-confessed work-alcoholic with a relentless output, this multitasker juggles as many projects as he can lay his hands on: remixing new artists as well as old hits, releasing on plethora of major and independent labels, having in time proved himself as seasoned songwriter and live artist in his own right - he's behind electro pop band Liebe with vocalist/guitarist George (three albums to date including, the last, 'Revolution of Love' on Emerald & Doreen). Notwithstanding this punitive studio schedule still allows him to deejay in clubs and host a couple of weekly radio shows on popular stations (his sound does wonders on the airwaves).

It all starts with a deep passionate love for the tunes that make you dance, essentially the golden eras of 80s' funked-up electronic pop and 90s' classic house variations (which combined laid the foundations for today's widespread dance culture). Filling the gap between commercial and underground, Dim Zach opts blindly for a more visceral mantra: good music creates good vibes. A blueprint effortlessly managed on his brand new album gathering fresh compositions as well as remixes of Emerald & Doreen artists (noticeably The Sweeps for which he reworked a full 5-track EP!). 

Operating outside ephemeral trends and limiting tags, 'Ingredients of Love' digests many distinguished influences (Imagination, Aeroplane, Dubstar, 'Fade To Grey', 'La Serenissima' etc) yet always sounds like the work of his tasteful originator; accessible yet never dishonest, contrived nor stale. Alongside slick beats, rolling basslines, glittering percussive synthesisers and cascades of swirling catchy hooks, the ear-candy melodies on offer, sometimes deliciously naive, are always heartfelt and generous, transcending categorisations and time. Released on 16/04/2021 'Ingredients of Love' lands right on time to be part of this summer's indispensable soundtrack, one which will hopefully celebrate Covid 19 recovery for most, a liberation and new-found freedom to relish with Dim Zach's uplifting songs and exalted melodies.

The cosmonauts embark on their most ambitious journey yet with the release of ‘Odyssey-10’ on Emerald & Doreen records. The duo venture into uncharted territory with ‘Satellite Cities’, a collaboration with cosmic queen Miss Zagato. Undoubtedly their funkiest production to date, this galactic chugger is a hypnotic blend of funky guitar plucks, electrifying stabs and groovy riffs, underpinned by Miss Zagato’s intoxicating lyrics that transport you to the moon in a hypersonic X-15. Building in momentum and complexity, the track climaxes with a mesmerising vocal chorus, elevated by cosmic synth melodies and a resonating mid-range bass that will echo for aeons to come. The original is backed by a sublime remix from Spanish electronic virtuoso, Ivan Fabra, whose take re-imagines the track as a pulsating Balearic dancefloor anthem loaded with powerful drums and ethereal pads that melt into the sunset.

Stahler aims to spread joy through creating lofty and floating dark disco & indie dance sounds. His melodic indie dance sets are appreciated for their danceable, yet wobbly and deep sounds infused with tasteful influences from the lively 80s, banging Italo Disco and solid Dark Disco tunes, covering wide electronic frequency terrains. Since 2018, Sascha is producing music under his artist name Stahler and released various tracks until today ranging from deep house to indie dance.

Moving from Singapore to Berlin in 2014 Stahler discovered the decks during a night of escalation and synth ecstasy. Shortly after he began playing DJ sets at intimate events & house parties before he started to perform at bigger parties and events, ranging from art exhibitions to clubs and festivals.

REFRAKT's new EP is coming as a Christmas present! Ian Daly is a producer and DJ based in New York City. His last EP release, False Memories (Phisica) charted in Beatport's top 10 Indie Dance. Nico Raibak, DJ and producer from Mexico City, a prominent figure in the electronic music scene since 2012 till today. His presence in the electronic movement has solidified through his productions and remixes, releasing on labels such as NEIN (Berlin/UK), The Disco Express (London), Controlla (Mx) and Phisica (Mx). On a national level, his work has resonated on platforms like Warp, Reactor, and Radio Ibero. REFRAKT layers sounds and melodies into a hypnotic mixture of dark disco, melodic techno, and world beats, transporting the listener through modulations and feedback loops.
Born in Flint, Michigan—the heart of industry in the United States—Daly grew up in a musical family with the Detroit house scene as a backdrop. A classically-trained pianist, drummer, and guitarist, Daly pulls from this broad musical vocabulary to bring melodic hooks, interlocking rhythms, and complex textures to his tracks. Daly also spent more than a decade as a journalist with publications such as Details, Esquire, Wired, and The New York Times. His reporting has taken him from the Arctic Circle to the mountains in Uganda, from the Mayan cenotes to equatorial glaciers to data vaults hidden deep in the Alps. His music bears the influence of his travels and exposure to unique musical styles and instruments, including Brazilian and African music, Persian classical music, Indian ragas, and the Balinese gamelan (which Daly has performed in).
REFRAKT has performed in Los Angeles, New York City, Tulum, and Berlin, as well as at Life Is Beautiful in Las Vegas and Untold and Neversea festivals.
