I took the same approach I do for my own stuff - I looked for loops/rhythms that inspired my and had a cool mood. I also got hooked on a few of the live vocal samples in the stems, especially the one that I based the title on, which is the ""hook"" of the song. I ended up making something that sounds remarkably like my own stuff. Great stuff in the jam stems.

I've been 'going to sell my Octatrack' for the last 2 years. I nearly did again but thought I'd try and get it to work as a quick remixing tool. It worked, so now I'm not going to sell it again. I used 7 stems from the curated stems pack - some Starkey, Pixelord, Dranq - mostly with the Octatrack sample mashing abilities and a bit of live jamming on the crossfader. I guess I was feeling a bit Jon Hopkins, Max Cooper ish vibe when I wrote the 2nd part, and the 1st part is erm, a sort of dank ambience. I didn't really have any particular style in mind when I wrote it though, just let it be what it wanted to be.

Starkey’s drums caught my ear from the get go as they sounded ominous and thunderous. That became my core, along with stems from Dead Kousin and Pixelord. A particular stem from Starkey (8, audio in, 140bpm) became the catalyst that lifted the track. I needed a little something that would give atmosphere to the middle (and then towards the end) of the song. After using Blocs Wave to chop it up, it became the final touch that inspired the title of the track as it gave it a space-like quality.

About Baz:
While I’ve been a singer songwriter since my teens, I’ve only really delved into electronic music and music production in general recently. I’d credit Endlesss and my iPad as factors in that.

Picked the riffs that I liked best from the jam and tried to get as many participants as possible using 125bpm. The vocal sample inspiration is a bit of a misquote ... I hope it won't ruffle any feathers.  Spent quite a bit of time categorizing the riffs then jumbled them together.  Live played the jumbles into Ableton. Added very few effects.

We kill off a member for every one of these things we don’t win, so we worked with less this time around. The best songs are borne from an experience of hardship. We grieved but we pushed on and made another classic. In other words, the secret sauce this time around is the literal blood of sacrifice.

Also, we were inspired by that incredibly annoying siren noise that seemed to go on for eternity. It made us think about the inevitability of mortality, decay and forgetting. In time, we shall all be nothing but particles blown on the cosmic wind. 
It also reminded us of that video of the chipmunk turning round.

Starkey is at the center of this one for sure. I heard - 6 - starkey -  - 140BPM - 2021-04-07-21-24 - and wanted to explore the different ways a bass line could augment the feeling it evokes. Dead Kousin and DRANQ are also featured heavily but everyone shows up at least once. Every sound except for one kick and some white noise came from the Unfolding 2 stems.
