Aggelos Baltas is a veteran of the global electronic music scene, responsible for a handful of celebrated EBM 12”s as Dream Weapons, and a particularly heady and open-ended brand of krautrock as Fantastikoi Hxoi. 

His newest project, Anatolian Weapons, was conceived as a way to bring together these two seemingly mismatched concepts, with the polyrhythmic percussion and wailing tones of Greek folk music serving as their unlikely bonding.

Nothing Is Real is back for the release number 24 with a retro wave EP coming from the talented Corsica based dj and producer Valerj, which includes 2 stunning remixes by Roe Deers and Amarcord.

Valerj’s debut solo with the title track ‘La Selva’. Thanks to the magic sounds of nature, this tune is a muscular take on dubby electronic music that gradually builds tension and suspense throughout its almost eight-minute duration. The track is followed up soon after with a brilliant remix from the mighty Lithuanian producer, Roe Deers, who brings the distorted and trippy bass to the foreground while decorating the track with additional percussions, effects and melodies.
The EP’s second track ‘Senza Tè’ demonstrates Valerj’s experimental spirit, as tricked-out sequencer arp and uncanny MIDI instrumentation compete for the listener’s attention. This is a truly original and mesmerizingly unique piece of synth-pop music. The Third track ‘Frisco’ wants to confirm the Italo-fingerprint of Valerj’s productions with a main synth who drives into rolling drums, cosmic synths and ethereal voices.

Finishing off the release is the body-mover ‘It’s A New Wave’ Mix of Senza Tè by Amarcord, which slowly builds a head-nodding rhythm from his typical Italo touch with punchy snares, a resonant bass wobble that bring us back to that new wave edge listeners associate with Nothing Is Real.

Raised in a musicians family and passionate about art, she has been practicing dance since childhood, it is in 2022 that Christie decided to go behind the decks.

In November 2022, she co-founded Club Sauvage with 4 friends, with the aim of promoting electronic music in Paris and Tours, her hometown.

Migmo🦌's sonic imprint could best be described as uplifting and hypnotic, as he takes melodic techno to another level by incorporating alternative influences, a French twist and shamanic tinges, with the unwavering mission of making people dance and glow.

Before becoming 'Migmo🦌', Cedric Menier spent years honing his craft - from a childhood rocked by the Beatles onwards - seeking out new sounds in everything from electronic music to indie rock, pop and soul music. His musical career really began as a singer and guitarist in a Parisian pop-rock combo before returning to his love of electronic music in 2020.

if Valerj had chosen to buy a guitar at the age of fifteen, the story would certainly have been different. But at the dawn of the 2000s, as club culture flooded Europe's biggest cities, turntables became a dream, even for a teenager from Corsica.

To use these turntables, you need records. When he can't find them at the only record shop in his hometown of Bastia, he orders them (or steals them in dubious mp3 versions) from the web. It was precisely this tool, the Internet, that shook up his certainties at the dawn of his twenties. Myspace, Reason, the Fluokids…

The Mediterranean was disappearing, the legendary Calvi on the rocks festival was exploding, and nothing would ever be the same again. He scoured these island festivals, not only as a partygoer but also as an artist. As the years went by, his cross-disciplinary tastes became more pronounced. In 2017, the monthly From disco to disko evenings were born, culminating in the creation of an eponymous label in early 2019.

In the space of just three ep's, Valerj's productions have already toured the world, appearing in sets by major players on the dark disco / indie dance scene such as Jennifer Cardini, Curses or Perel. Always eager to collaborate and exchange, since 2022 he has also crossed paths with renowned artists such as Damon Jee, Roe Deers, Amarcord or Joe Lewandowski for remixes.

Despite his obvious affinity with the dark disco scene, which is still very active today, Valerj chose a completely different path for his debut album  “Le début du beau”, released last May on From disco to disko. After more than twenty years in the world of the dance music, this long format is an opportunity for him to reconnect with his early house, ambient and electro influences, and to pay homage to some of the records that shook up his adolescence and his way of making music.

Epicure Records is thrilled to welcome Palestinian artist Sarv for his debut on the label.

Based in Haifa, Sameer, aka Sarv, is a producer, DJ and visual artist with a sound as enigmatic as it is powerful. 
As the founder of the Deviousco collective, he draws from a rich tapestry of cultural traditions, primarily from the East blending genres such as dark disco, techno, trance, and EBM. His music transcends conventional club sounds, becoming a visceral, bodily language of its own.

For this release, Sarv was inspired by the mythical figure of Sirance, a hybrid being born from Greek mythology and Islamic cosmography, as described in Zakariya al-Qazwini’s Wonders of Creatures and Strange Things Existing (13th century). 
A creature whose breath flowed through twelve holes in his nose, creating melodies so hypnotic that no one could resist. Sirance embodies an ancient fascination with music, voice and their supernatural powers, seductive, wise, or maddening.

Sarv offers his own sonic and visual interpretation of this legend through a mesmerizing track that weaves mysticism, tension and sensuality. He also created the artwork, a direct reflection of his unique inner world.

Known for his releases on pioneering UK label Nein Records and for his collaborations with international artists such as Curses, Nesa Azadikhah and Baalti, Sarv continues his musical and spiritual journey and we’re honored to have him aboard.

Driven by three original tracks, the EP dives into groovy rhythms, lush textures, and raw club momentum.

Sharon Attar opens with her signature percussive flair and irresistible sense of rhythm, while Omer Zoltek brings hypnotic depth and emotional layering. Their joint title track captures the essence of the project, organic, driving and subtly trippy.
Three remixes follow, offering unique reinterpretations from artists and labels that embody our love for bold, genre-crossing dance music. 
Prinze, founder of Epicure Records, adds a cosmic, acid-tinged touch. Jason Peters, head of Roam Recordings, takes things darker and deeper, channeling the West Coast underground. Finally, Hard Fist’s Neskeh closes with a twisted, bass-heavy version full of tension and intrigue.
A release that moves through Tel Aviv, Paris, San Francisco and Lyon, guided by a love for sound and a spirit of unity, connecting minds, bodies and souls across borders.

The interesting and prolific French label Epicure Records delivers “BO-KER,” a dynamic three-original EP fruit of the partnership between Sharon Attar and Omer Zoltek, expanded with three reworks. The release blends deep grooves, rich layers, and energetic club propulsion, embodying an organic yet hypnotic vibe. Each original cut flows with a natural drive, while the made-with-love remixes – courtesy of Epicure’s Prinze, Roam Recordings’ Jason Peters, and Hard Fist’s Neskeh – reinvent the material with fresh perspectives, ensuring broad dance-floor appeal.

Premiered here, “Ladies & Gentlemen”, the opening theme of the parcel, highlights Attar’s solo artistry, weaving spot-on vocal phrasing with dynamic percussion. The track exudes magnetic energy, its rolling bassline and intricate rhythms creating an immersive, hypnotic sway. Asa Tate is the work of London based DJ & Producer Ned Dickinson, who has released music for the better part of a decade under his Tech Support alias, playing around the UK & Europe and having gained support from top DJs and radio tastemakers, including Pete Tong (BBC Radio 1), Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6 Music), Huey Morgan (BBC 6 Music), Maribou State, Jamie XX, Bradley Zero and Moxie. Tucana is the debut EP under Asa Tate following tracks released with Rhythm Section, Make A Dance & Electric Shapes, plus a remix of Demi Riquisimo's 'Anxious Elephants' on Semi Delicous.

Dan ChiCharron is a Nantes-based artist who turns his sets into long sonic journeys, where the tension rises without ever breaking. Blending dark disco, psychedelic indie dance and electronic escapades, he crafts a living experience, somewhere between controlled drift and bursts of movement.

Backed by patient and meticulous sound exploration in the studio, Dan ChiCharron has shaped a singular musical signature, balancing raw textures with melodic experimentation. His productions have found their home on several international labels, with releases on EPs and compilations from Bonkers, Belly Dance Services, Skalbianké and Sinchi Collective.

A resident for two years at Solemne Centro and Azul Rosa in Guatemala, he expanded his sonic universe with diverse influences while asserting a unique musical identity.

Dan ChiCharron invites you to dive into a soundscape where each performance unfolds as a rising crescendo of energy.
