djfix is a Brooklyn based dj, producer, and co-founder of Earth Dog Records. Often found in his studio, he sculpts tracks that are as texturally rich as they are dancefloor-ready. His music moves between swung hi-hats, dirty grooves, and lush pads, always balancing flexibility behind the decks with a commitment to his own sound; driving, trippy, and psychedelic. His love for synths shines through in tracks like Seed Cycle, where heavy basslines meet dense, distorted layers anchored by a non stop groove. Inspired equally by the movement of NYC and the stillness of the PNW, he crafts sonic journeys that blur the lines between deep, meditative spaces and high-energy club moments.

"I wanted my mix to capture the contrasts I was feeling while moving between cities and nature in my recent travels. In selecting the music I tried to reflect that combination of textures with nights out with friends, wandering through new spaces, and landing back in nature. It moves from something darker and uncertain into a more club-focused momentum while keeping a sense of mystery. The best setting to listen is on a train or in a car heading toward a soft place to land."

AFFIRM is a musician and scientist currently based out of San Diego. His taste is based on intricate sound design and experimentation with modular synthesis and the signal processing involved as key elements that he listens for and utilizes in his musical endeavors. In the early days of producing, hip-hop was his focus. Now, he delves into the merging of techno and dubstep, with a notable remix of Jdb's Broken Constellation, released on Ian Ellison's Pseudonote label. In addition to his production work, he runs the Emotion Modulators radio show every third Sunday of the month on Particle FM.

"In this mix, I wanted to explore the ranges of bass-oriented music. From Dembow-influenced bass music out of Latin America to techno-dubstep fusions and old-school electro, I wanted a through-line of high-bar sound design with rumbly low ends to make your head tingle. In the summer when this was recorded, I was very interested in how sounds from Latin America could blend with dubstep, and I was elated when I found it could work quite well. For best listening, use a device that has a low end."

Adware is a DJ living between San Francisco, Brooklyn and the Monterey Bay. Since starting Vitamin1000 in 2018, he has developed the crew’s visual identity while helping curate dozens of lineups and experiences. Adware’s sound sits comfortably between the boundaries of frog-prog trance and bugged-out UK tech house, defined clearly by an ethereal sound palette with themes informed by the natural world.
