Cinnaman 60 min Boiler Room x Dekmantel Festival mix

Dutch duo TWR72 unveil an ambitious collection of 72 killer loops, built for club domination.

Their recent release on Twin Turbo got huge support from across the board: Josh Wink, Jackmaster, Jacques Greene, Joakim… and that's just key tastemakers whose name begins with 'J'. What Turbo didn't tell you is that the tracks on this EP had been built from 5 core loops which were part of a much bigger project… yours to discover today. 

This package is a hugely powerful weapon for old-school and new-school DJs alike… For the old-school a limited edition 12" with 36 locked grooves per side, for the digitally inclined, there will be all these and more compiled for "on-the-fly" remix heaven. Add a filter and delay and you can even go out and play a TWR72™ live show.

These aren't outtakes either, each groove is good enough in it's own right to be an A-side hit. But things are stripped back to their essentials, leaving you, the DJ / producer, to decide when to turn it up to 11 and layer in something new.

Each 15 second clip is named after a friend / collaborator / supporter / inspiration who has played a role in TWR72's development, a power punch shout out to their peers.

ENDLESS is an innovative release for Turbo, and a bold move forward for these talented young producers.

Cinnaman, a name you wouldn't have been able to miss this summer, has graced us with a mix this week that is full of wholesome house and techno goodness! Rocking some of the biggest and best European festival bills this season, Cinnaman blew us away with his energy and sophisticated flair for getting a dance floor moving! With his broad knowledge of genres and positive attitude, we've been looking forward to this mix for a long time and it certainly doesn't disappoint. So grab your earphones and get ready for the journey as Cinnaman mixes beats that will keep our heads nodding well into the changing seasons.

Cinnaman has been an integral part of the Amsterdam nightlife for a few years now. Being part of the infamous Rush Hour Record Store crew, he is also one of the most talented and diverse DJs to emerge from Holland. You can't really define Cinnaman's style. It's somewhere between the spectrum of House, Garage, UK Funky, Detroit Techno. If it sounds good and if it is bit out of the ordinary, there’s a good chance that Cinnaman has a taste for it.

Cinnaman at 5 Days Off 2012

The unstoppable Boris Bunnik (aka Conforce, Silent Harbour) is back once again, this time as Vernon Felicity with a four track EP for MOS Recordings. The tracks see him explore his usual analogue heavy sound, but there is a little more space in his arrangements, a more rueful mood.

The title track 'Dawning' is slow and purposeful, with acid pricks and twitches peppering a churning groove. Next, 'Breaking Silence' is more kinetic, with claps, hits and squiggly melodies all bouncing off each other as pronounced basslines strike a melancholic note below.

On the flip, 'Wrong Notion' has plenty of height to it, again with eco systems of analogue lines and acid belches all weaving their way around each other and the raw, splintered beats below, before last track '3' explores wide open cosmic synth spaces with lingering pads, mournful Blade Runner style synth lines and gently churning rhythms all soothing your brain and body in equal measure.

Lowdi was a portable wireless speaker (no longer than a pencil) that was perfect for travel and adventures. It was small and easy-going - light-hearted but very social. Lowdi was good on the phone and ultimately, a massive music fan. Some times a romantic but also tended to be a little loud, Lowdi liked nothing more than to just blend into the background and help set the scene.
