Hello, I'm Anthony.
Aūgment is a project inspired by neo- and post-classical artists that blend minimalist piano with electronics. I create covers and reworks of pieces by artists such as Ólafur Arnalds, Yana and Nils Frahm, and look to perform these tracks in venues in the Brighton and London areas.
The name Aūgment comes from its meaning to extend, such as an augmented chord. I chose to use a 'ū', as languages like Japanese use a macron in Romaji to denote a longer vowel sound. The word 'augment' is also inspired by technology such as augmented reality, where the 'real' is blended with the 'unreal'.
