  This is a combination of some of my favorite groovy tunes found on SoundCloud. 
   My feature artist in this group is Julius Papp Music. Julius is one of those relatively un-noticed contributors to SoundCloud and one of those artists I'm sure we're going to look back on in the future and say, "He was so ahead of his time" His influence comes from many genres, and you can hear it in almost everything he dose. Julius has got guts too, doing things in his tracks that are very risky, but payoff well in the end mix. I love his quirky techno/geek and european influences. I only wish I owned a record label, I'd do what ever it takes to sign this guy.

Hot on the heels of his 9-track OWSLA-released EP, To a New Earth, LA funkstepper Kill Paris aka Corey Baker has lent his impeccable production chops to a new single, Falling In Love Again. The track, Baker's take on a sensual R&B jam features vocals from Marty Rod and Alma and electro that boldly stands in defiance of the build-up-to-the-drop mentality of today's EDM world. The track is due out via OWSLA on July 9th, and is part of Kill Paris's upcoming Fall 2013 EP, also on OWSLA. Baker will also be playing OWSLA's Tomorrow World stage this coming September in Atlanta.

Lime Sorbet is back. Volume 3 brings more unreleased tracks by top-notch artists from the Freestyle scene worldwide. If you call it NuFunk, Ghetto Funk, Breakbeats or whatever, be sure that it’s funky. Compilation 1 & 2 were top- sellers at the most important online music stores all over the world. The man behind Lime Sorbet, Quincy Jointz serves another great mixture from downbeats to uplifting grooves and this time on his label home, Timewarp Music. Quincy´s „Lime Sorbet show“ in the past was always a show of different music styles. The compilations are in the same mood.

Lime Sorbet vol.3 kicks off with a fresh remix of Quincy Jointz himself. He reworked a song by the James Beige to a funky theme: “How´d it start” a perfect groovy tune to start a cool DJ-set. Basement Freaks is a big player in the nufunk scene and appears with a fresh new funky tune with a big groove in his unique style. The list goes on with groovy downbeats spiced by strong soulful vocals with Natural Born Groovers and their song “What is all About”. Following tune from DeRiguer´s “Give it to me Nice up” is another great example for groovy downbeats, followed by another fresh Quincy Jointz tune “Monsterjam”. German-based jazz.k.lipa also created a funky monster jam song titled “Summer Groove” with vocals by thefirstlostgirl. Greek top-artist Timewarp inc Combines serious funky beats with the amazing ragga-vocals from Ragga Twins. A sure shot in every DJ-set. Hungarian musicians are involved in the compilation Mustbeat Crew teamed up with spoken MC for US for a mellow Hip Hop tune “Be Cool”. CMC & Silenta the top-producer-team from Freiburg/Germany shows their soulful side, very catchy and groovy song “This Sound”. Next the funky but with a big flavor of skanking Jamaican feeling by Johnny Pluse is coming next with “The Sunshine Skunk”. mSdoS rises up the tempo with “Upright” a great fresh 4-to-the-floor tune. The compilation continues with the good old days sound of groove & downbeat style and the so-called sound of Vienna with Dubble D “Thud”. Swiss artist Banderas contributes with an unreleased Astrolab remix of his tune “Vera”. Brazilian dj and producer Trotter on a untypical slow jam, “Six to Fix”. Quincy himself created a disco-housy tune called “Another Day” catchy, hypnotic & groovy. Followed by his remix of Michael DeVellis “Funky Edwardian” inspired by 80’s Disco and Electro but down in his unique style. Lime Sorbet 3 closes with Florida-based Stereo 77 “Apollo-Dub”, a latin-infected dubby downbeat song which is a perfect closing tune for this compilation.

The “Zeitgeist” album is available now!

Camo & Krooked are back with their new album “Zeitgeist”. Two years on and the follow up to “Cross The Line” truly encapsulates the sound of Camo & Krooked 2.0. Already seeing heavyweight DJ support from across the board, “Zeitgeist” is jam-packed with disco, French house and minimal influences, which are merged together with the signature Camo & Krooked sound to form an awe-inspiring 15-track package. The album also features key collaborations with fellow Hospital star Metrik and Norwegian indie-electronic duo Lemâitre .

Kicking things off is the epic “Turn Back The Time” which introduces us into this brave new world of sultry synths, sharp beats and disco-influenced aesthetics which form the backbone of the album. Then we have the familiar sounds of the ever-catchy undulating white noise of “All Night” and dancefloor detonator “Move Around (ft. Ian Shaw)”. Watch out for other gems including “Aurora (ft. Metrik)” with its epic trance-like soundscape, the soulful sounds of “Loving You Is Easy”, the enticing and experimental “Ruhepuls” and collaborative smasher “Dreamcatcher (ft. Lemaitre)” with its fidgety beats and infectiously upbeat vibe.

Expect the unexpected as Camo & Krooked continue to push the boundaries with their impressive opus, “Zeitgeist”. Like all the best albums, “Zeitgeist” makes sense as a whole and should be enjoyed from start to finish.

Electro house clubber including pounding mxs by But&Memo/ Butcher/Mike Misar.Barclay & Cream - Groove is in the heart is a massive re-work of Towa Tei’s dance Project “Deee-Lite” which was very successful in 1990.
Groove is in the Heart" is a funky, cheerful electro house song that compares the new feelings of  infatuation with hearing a good ("groovy") song. Essentially a vocal house music track, it also features elements of disco, funk and electro house . The original backing track was built around many samples (one of them from Herbie Hancock’s track "Bring Down the Birds" on the Blowup soundtrack), and even included a slide whistle. Parliament-Funkadelic legend Bootsy Collins played bass guitar and provided guest vocals, and the rap is provided by Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest.

Following on from the success of their debut LP 'La Belle Vie' from earlier this year, the French duo have been busy in the studio producing La Beat Tape. 20 tracks deep, the release is aimed squarely at the DJs, with a succession of guaranteed party-starters. This is rounded out with some typically quirky interludes, jazzy beat excursions and blissed out trip hop.
Souleance are producer Fulgeance (Musique Large / One Handed Music) and DJ Soulist (What The Funk Paris?). Since releasing their debut EP (Le Monde) back in 2009, they have built a solid reputation for their idiosyncratic take on modern beats. With fans including Gilles Peterson, Danny Breaks, Lefto and Mr Thing, their debut album was the culmination of 3 years of beat-making, touring, partying and drinking too much Pimms. Whilst other producers would rest on their laurels after releasing their debut, Souleance got straight back into the studio to produce La Beat Tape - their sole aim to create tracks that they would DJ with themselves. The result is 20 tracks of pure dancefloor fire peppered with a smattering of chilled, lounge tracks in classic Souleance style.
Like any classic beat tape, variety is the key, and Souleance do not disappoint. La Beat Tape takes in heavy Turkish breaks (Sauce Samourai), Hammond funk (L'insouleance), tripped out western cinematics (Tout Doux), brooding jazz (Kipseli Street Interlude), Shadow-esque breaks (Strongest Love), Just Blaze-style horn-heavy hip hop (Como Estan Bitches), 80s synth-hop (Cocktail Time) and much much more.
The release is available as a budget-priced download with a limited edition 7" containing four tracks that we feel will be most useful for the DJs. With artwork by long-term collaborator Alice Dufay, it's sure to join their previous vinyl releases as a genuine collectors item.

After returning from a trip to Ibiza the decision was made to embark on the torturous task of learning music production. Getting championed by Greg Wilson leading to the first release on the Chopshop label, things snowballed with tracks released on Midnight Riot, Hot Digits, Disco Dat, Spa in Disco, Sound Exhibitions, Get Down Edits, Masterworks, Hot Groovers, with support from Craig Charles, Dimitri From Paris and producing a side project with Rob Bairstow as Greyskooledits things are moving in the right direction.
