the summer seems to be over. more cloudy days, more showers (just had one today)… all these are the signs of autumn. the autumn usually makes me sad and depressed, so in order to cheer up i decided to compose this little track, dedicated to the season. i hope you'll enjoy it and maybe it could even help some of you to accept the fact that the autumn is coming and to "receive" it =)

Eidos — Recieving Autumn (Original Mix)

The Page Of Life album was composed during 2009-2011 in a home studio.
The genre is still electronic chillout as a previous album Dream Element.
Most of the instruments used are VST plugins sequenced in Cubase, in addition to Virus B synthesizer and Electric guitar.

All tracks were composed and arranged by me except track no.9 that was composed by my sister Anna 25 years ago and recreated in 2011 from my memory as a child. And also track no.2 that was inspired by Russian old movie Michailo Lomonosov.

A few thoughts on this one: 
The YouTube video (https://youtu.be/iljPOxZ6Vvg) is made of footage I could collect while visiting Sardinia, the Italian island, last September. I was lucky to get to that spot you can see in the first shot just on time to see the sun rising. While most people like to watch sunsets, and there is one at the end of the vid, too, it definitely is rewarding to watch the sun rising on the horizon. Makes you aware how slow, but steadily the ball we're standing on is spinning ;)

Allan asked me if we could do another collab and this is what have been emerging around his amazing beat he sent me...I got inspired in a way that didn't left much room for him to add more than the subtle arp intro....Sorry Allan! Next time I will try to restrain myself more...

You can listen to the voice of "Mother of Synthetic Music" Daphne Oram (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daphne_Oram) reading from a draft of her 1971 book "An Individual Note Of Music, Sound And Electronics" and I have used a vocal stem with Bekah B haunting vocals from one of our earlier collabs

and she has been very generous to let us use it elevating this track to higher grounds....

The Wilhelm Scream (James Blake cover)

This recording came from experiments with the plug in POLAR that I bought for Reason. It's another in my series of "I should really finish some of these projects I have started".  =^] 

There is no reverb added to the trumpet tracks. All of the effects are from Polar (with the exception of some vintage delay on the main trumpet). What sounds like trombone is actually trumpet and modified by Polar. The really oddball sounds are also trumpet run through Polar.
