2021 has been YANA Music's busiest and biggest year to date without question. First set up in 2019 by UK Dancefloor producer Toronto Is Broken as an output to release solely his own work after parting ways with Viper Recordings has blossomed into something so much more. A.M.C finally returns to his own Titan imprint and he’s wielding his heaviest weaponry. The thunderous ‘Southpaw’ EP is his first full release for the label since August 2013 - and his first solo EP since November 2012 – and it’s his largest ever body of work. And, as its boxing reference suggests, it’s going to cause serious knockouts throughout the summer. 
Five tracks, each precision-penned during a near-constant life on the road, ‘Southpaw’ EP is a chance for A.M.C to showcase his true steel. Inspired by an endless blur of peak time international slots and major European festivals, he’s been sharpening his sinewy sound to the point of lethal weapon distinction. Brandishing a trademark sound that is very much his own, A.M.C’s strident signature has never been expressed with this amount of detail or drama before. Let battle commence…
‘Southpaw’ swings with a left hook, ducks, then pops back up and chins you with concrete knuckles. This one’s all about the tech insistency; pummelling bass punches hammer out a sense of drama over anvil like kicks as we hurtle head-first into the breakdown abyss. What follows on the second drop is, to put it simply, too rude to express in words. Be under no illusion: this is murderous.

Passion, dedication and hard work - Kosenprod is a label which is all about these things and more. One such artist is The Clamps. Graduating from techno, to breaks and trance, to d&b, the producer values everything hard and extreme, taking his influences and creating something new. All of this is showcased on the new release, the Aekon EP.

Slowly building up, the producer adds layers of sounds, from the complex and involving drum work through to bass and percussion. The flip, S&A, follows a similar path, A cinematic opening leads into a build up which is emotional and awe-inspiring. Echoes of melody are torn down as the amazing main section shows The Clamps as a musician who doesn’t believe in half measures. It’s all on the line on S&A. Electricity bristles across the mix, as S&A is revealed as a true slice of tech-influenced drum & bass genius. 

Don’t turn away for a second as things heat up again, showing off the full range of The Clamps’ talent. The Aekon EP is another huge release for Kosenprod, further ensuring their place at the very top. Essential.
