アーティスト、DJ、プロデューサー、リミキサーとして幅広く活動し、1年の2/3もの時間をヨーロッパ、アジア、北/南アメリカ、オセアニア等、海外でのDJで過ごす。‘93年、ベルギーのテクノレーベル「R&S」からデビュー。イギリス音楽誌「NME」のテクノチャートでNo.1を獲得、その名を世界に知らしめる。'95年、アルバム「Jelly Tones」（R&S/SONY）をリリースし、大ヒットを記録。’96年には「Jelly Tones」からのシングル 「Extra」のビデオクリップ（映画「AKIRA」の作画監督/森本晃司監督作品)が、イギリスの “MTV DANCE VIDEO OF THE YEAR” を受賞。世界に通用するりができる日本人のパイオニア的存在として、ワールドワイドで高い評価を得る。’98年、長野オリンピック・オフィシャル・オープニングテーマのインターナショナル版を作曲し、世界70カ国以上でオンエア。2000年には、アメリカのニュース週刊誌「Newsweek」で表紙を飾る。’04年、スペイン・イビサ島で開催のダンス・ミュージック界最高峰“DJ AWARDS”でBEST TECHNO DJを受賞し、名実共に世界一を獲得。’05年には「愛・地球博」で政府が主催する瀬戸日本館の音楽を担当。2010年には東京都現代美術館で行われた「サイバーアーツジャパン」に出展した3Dインスタレーション作品への参加や、ミッドタウンの館内ＢＧＭのミックスを2年間担当するなど、楽曲制作、ＤＪに加え様々な活動を展開。昨年、それらのインターナショナルな活動に、世界的通信社「ロイター」が注目し報道配信。全世界の新聞、雑誌などで１0億人が目にすることとなった。そして新たに立ち上げたプロジェクト「Ken Ishii presents Metropolitan Harmonic Formulas」で菊地成孔、Emi Meyer、Jazztronik、Alex from Tokyo、Masaki Sakamotoとコラボレーション、Mr Fingers「Can You Feel It」、Soft House Company「A Little Piano…」をカバーし、他のアーティストや異ジャンルの音楽ともクロスオーバーするエレクトロニック・ミュージックを作り上げた。2013年は世界デビュー20周年を迎え、4月にドイツのトップ・レーベルSystematic Recordingsの主宰者マーク・ロンボイと共に初のコラボレーション・アルバム「Taiyo -2CD-」をリリース。また、9月には作品発表としては17年振りになる別名義Flareでアルバム「Dots」をリリース。何にもとらわれない自由なテクノを奏でている。

A Berghain residents since its opening in 2004, Len Faki is one of European techno's best loved and most in-demand artists, his pumping sets normally utilising three CDJs and a Yamaha RM1x unit to showcase his long honed skills as a DJ.

Also a long-standing producer with a discography stretching back to 1999, he currently has three labels to his name, Figure, Podium and Figure, and a back catalogue of punishing classics such as 'Death by House' and personal re-edits like his killer version of DJ Hyperactive's 'Wide Open'.

With three gigs coming up across the next three months in England and Scotland, Faki dropped us this mix to give a flavour of his current tastes – tribal drums, stomping kicks and trippy atmospherics booked ended by bright, melodic flourishes.

A.Mochi is one of Len Faki's label Figure's central artists based in Tokyo. He has been the first japanese artist to ever hold 5 tracks among the top10 selling tracks on Beatport techno chart.
He has been releasing 12 inch from the labels such as "Hardsignal", "Tremors" since 2006. In 2007, he released 2 EPs from Luke Slater's labal "Mote-Evolver". In 2008, he released two 12 inch vinyls from Alex Bau"s label "Kumo", and released  tracks from Francois K.'s "Wave Tec". Then, also in 2008, he released "Battry EP" from "Figure" the label of Len Faki who is the resident DJ of the best club in the world, Berghain. This EP has been played by many top DJs around the world.    In 2009, "Black Out EP" on "Figure" received great response from all over the world. he also released his critically acclaimed debut album "Primordial-Soup" in 2010.
he worked on remix for Len Faki's "Death By House/Cocoon" and also remix for techno classics of "Dave Clarke' Wisdom To The Wise(Red2)/BoysNoize". There are original tracks coming up from great labels such as "Figure". He is now "Unstoppable". As mentioned, he works on many remixes, too. In addition to remixes on "Cocoon Recording" and "A-Wave", there are releases on various labels such as Dubfire's "Sci-Tec", "Figure". A. Mochi has released more than ten 12 inches original and remixes combined so far. Also, he has worked on Chris Liebing's "CLR Podcast".
Other than techno fields, he was in charge of the Music and Sound Effects Production of The Cave of Yoritomo - "A Fusion of Kyougen and Modern Digital Art" Kyougen - Projection Mapping - 3D Sound System - Interactive Art.(Kyougen is a form of traditional Japanese comic theater)
Besides this, He is one of the few artists from Japan who receives attentions from techno scene around the world. His signature "Strong and Heavy" sound has been supported by world-class DJs and getting positive responses.
He has played at Tokyo legendary venues such as Maniac Love, Liquid Room, and leading venues such as WOMB, AGEHA, CONTACT, VENT, to name a few.
He has many experiences to be part of big festival like WIRE, Rising Sun Rock Festival, and EDC in Japan.
And he has toured Europe,Asia several times and he peformed at Berghain Berlin, Solar Weekened Festival,Netherland, Nordik Impakt Festival,France and Switzerland, Los Angeles, Taiwan, Korea, China.
A.Mochi is the Japanese producer who makes the sound of today in the world of techno and shaking the scenes around the world.  You won't regret remembering his name.
