Following his ambient LP "The Evening Falls" on Kompakt, Kenneth James Gibson is set to release his most realized dance floor full length under the [a]pendics.shuffle moniker, "Aware Sequence Found Life"

In just under an hour [a]pendics.shuffle listeners on a spiritual psychedelic head fuck spanning an array of deep house, techno, ambient, experimental, and even a moment of synth laden acidic jazz. Although there have been many singles, EPs, remixes, and various collaborations in the last few years with artists such as Mikael Stavostand, Mr. C, Blakkat, Douglas J. Bushwacka &amp; Richie Fingers are starting a new night in London called Roots at Basin House, Kingsland Road, Shoreditch on Thursday March 8th. They're starting this night to highlight the roots of house &amp; techno music as a lot of the music coming out now, apart from production quality, is exactly like what was coming out in the 80's, it's come full circle. As they say, it all comes back around.

I've also been promising myself to start a new retro series as many of the new generation of clubbers don't know all of the really cool old shit &amp; of course deserve to hear it &amp; love it just as we old timers have, so doing this mix for Bushwacka &amp; Richie Fingers has given me a kick in the arse to start this series. This mix is 1986-1989 house music, mostly from Chicago. I will also be doing other mixes showcasing old school NYC garage, acid house, deep house, Detroit techno, hip hop, breaks &amp; old school electro in this series &amp; not just one mix of each of those genres, but many.

The Shamen - Pop

2019 was my 5th Burning Man, with 2010 being my first. Distrikt was already one of the top sound camps in BRC almost a decade ago & a place I’ve spent many an hour kicking up the dust with friends over the years. It was therefore of course an honor & a privilege to play at Distrikt this year where I played from 3pm - 4:30pm on the Thursday afternoon. With the crowd just starting to build before I went on I decided to drop the energy back a little to establish a solid groove and start the fun journey that would build the vibes appropriately for all that was to follow that afternoon. I hope you enjoy this musical journey as much as I did. What an amazing day that was.

Sebastian Hartmann is considered one of the big innovators of contemporary German theatre, and asked Ring to contribute to this mammoth project, which was commissioned by the renowned German arts festival Ruhrfestspiele in Recklinghausen.
