A SEASON DISSOLVED FINAL MASTER! FEB 2014

Booking and distribution for Johnny Kowalski and the Sexy Weirdos, the 'body snatching carnival punk' band based in Birmingham, UK. With their debut album Victory for the Monsters chasing down their reputation as an unmissable live act, they are an ideal band for festivals with their dub and ska infused eastern European, brass and fiddle laden electrified carnival sound.

Recerntly: scored the feature Day Of The Stranger (2020), and previously a silent cut of Bella In The Wych Elm (2016) both by Carnie Film Production 
I am a self styled "crusty composer", scintillating songwriter, lucid lyricist, pompous producer, magnanimous multi-instrumentalist. All round musical fidget! 
My big productions such as Quiver, Dali and A Season Dissolved ebb with a glow of occasion and melodrama!

My name is Becky Rose, I'm 28, and I'm a songwriter based in sunny old Worcester, UK.

I write music spanning across multiple genres, my favourites being pop and alt-pop. I produce my music on GarageBand from the comfort of my box room. In the live arena (pre-lockdown, that is) I would perform with just me and my piano, though I have been known to bring out pop backing tracks during live sets from time to time.

Between 2008 and 2013 I performed around 300 gigs across the UK, including London (Troubador Club, Edinburgh Cellars, Soho Comedy Club, The Camden Head), Manchester (Jackson's Pit, Taurus), Birmingham (The Island Bar, Actress & Bishop, The Yardbird) and numerous local hot spots (Nozstock, Leamington Peace Festival, The Robin 2, The Marrs Bar).

In addition to being carted around various venues (cheers Mum and Dad!), I landed myself a bunch of radio spots. I featured on BBC Hereford & Worcester a number of times, was played by Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music, featured on BBC Radio 1, and had airplay on a handful of underground digital radio stations.

I had a number of amazing experiences during my stint at a music career, the most notable of which I am listing here:

2009: I performed at Amnesty International Headquarters as part of the AGM for the feminist organisation OBJECT.

2010: I was spotted by Air Management (Katie Melua, Jamie Cullum) and they mentored me for the couple of years that followed.

2011: I was selected out of 37,000 applicants to join just 40 other artists at the BBC Intro Musicians Masterclass, where I met the likes of Mark Ronson, Calvin Harris, Kissy Sellout and Pete Tong.

2012: I performed a song of mine for Her Majesty The Queen on her visit to the newly opened Hive Library. This garnered a lot of local press and radio attention.

Deviating from the conventional songwriter route in 2013, I co-wrote Theatre In Education piece which included comedy musical skits. The interactive play toured 50 high schools across the UK and won the HELOA 2014 Best Innovation & Practice Award.

From this point onwards, life stuff got in the way. I made a living in a demanding events management role, married, separated, and lived with severe depression. However, this was by no means a waste of time. I indulged my interest in gender non-conformity and female sexuality, started up a Staff Mental Health Network, ran a menstrual and menopausal health workshop at my workplace, and undertook a Masters in Psychology.

Right now, I am privileged to be working full-time at Liaison (a payroll provider for the NHS), and using the spare time that I have to reignite my music career.

I am looking to develop a songwriting career, though I am totally into live performances too. Essentially, knowing that my songwriting could be seen as kind of "eclectic" (I'm a mixed bag, I know), I have an open mind as to where this could take me.
