About the mix: "I live in Chicago and came up as a deejay here (just celebrated by 10 years of publically deejaying in September!) so while I always think about House music as a track with a certain kick and hat pattern, frequently with pianos, vocals, and horns; I think about the original reason House music was called House, simply because it was the kind of music played at the Warehouse. I think that any music that is played in Chicago can then be dubbed as House music because it’s in whatever “House” you are deejaying in. Because Chicago is my artistic home, this mix features a ton of songs that I have frequented in the club recently. Some can be considered house, some can’t, but because at the end of the day, House is about fun, I wanted this mix to be fun. I was struggling with how to approach it until I let go a bit and was like, just play, you do this all the time. This mix is giving so it’s called the It’s Giving Mix. You can dance to it, study to it, fuck to it, honestly it’s very malleable for whatever situation you’re in."

INNEZZ is a DJ and multidisciplinary artist born in Germany and raised across Canada. Weaving deep, rolling grooves with hypnotic minimalism, her sound is shaped by her North African heritage and years spent navigating many scenes and dancefloors around the globe.

Known for her precise, floor-focused selections, INNEZZ blends dubbed-out percussion, enveloping basslines, and off-kilter rhythms to create immersive, slow-burning sets. Whether in intimate clubs or on festival stages, she crafts an atmosphere that is both spacious and deeply rooted.

Currently working on her own productions, she also hosts Azul Radio, a monthly show on Vancouver’s Bside Radio, where she explores deep and leftfield sounds.
