Long Green Jaws is a duo of Sarah McWhinney and Fergus Hall. They create improvised, visual, immersive performances using violin, cello, live vocals and hyrdrophone. Much of their work is influenced by the ebb and flow of natural phenomena.

Sound Thought is an annual festival of music and sound research, composition, and performance run by postgraduate students from the University of Glasgow.

Sound Thought presents a unique opportunity for postgraduate researchers by providing them with a platform to present their research in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment alongside the work of contemporary practitioners.

 An electroacoustic thesis statement in nonbinary performance, HARP+ redefines the modern chamber ensemble by deconstructing sonic and concert stereotypes. Through electronic augmentation, sampling, looping, and live projection, HARP+ explores the relationship between performer/instrument, gender/instrumental stereotypes, and acoustic/electric tone colors.  Sampling ideas from alternative music genres, free improvisation, and contemporary harp repertoire, HARP+’s unique voice ranges from minimalistically smooth soundscapes to dissonant expressionism.

⟀ Andrew Rae is a post-graduate from the University of Glasgow (M.Litt, Music Industries) and performance graduate from the University of Liverpool (BA Music & Popular Music). He has produced and directed music videos and mini-feature films for a variety of artists based in Liverpool, Glasgow and London, such as ‘Karma’ by Zefflo.

⟀ His experience is in marketing for artists and record companies. He has worked for London based record label Ninja Tunes and subsequently worked as a marketing co-ordinator for volunteer and working abroad company BUNAC.

⟀ Andrew is part of the committee for Sound Thought Festival based in Glasgow and has an interest in electroacoustic music. He has produced tracks and music videos for a variety of artists based in Liverpool and Glasgow.

Danielle Bees is a Sofia Symphonic Summit 2023 Composer, an ICEBERG Institute 2022 Composer, an Alba Festival 2021 Composition Fellow, and an ICon Arts Transylvania Academy 2020 Composer in Residence. Her music for the concert hall, film, and theatre has been performed throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. She has worked with notable ensembles such as the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Trio Immersio, The Julius Quartet, Transient Canvas, among others, and collaborated with actors, directors, and writers alike. Danielle holds a Bachelor of Music from the Greatbatch School of Music at Houghton College and a Master of Music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
