This 12 inch piece of wax is jam packed with five grimy techno mantras, each one proofing once again that the highest level of mastery is simplicity. Most information is irrelevant and most effort is wasted, but only Leibniz knows what to ignore.

The Ghanaian drum “Sogo”, known for its deep, resonant sound, conveys beats and emotions through its pulses, symbolizing the strength of culture, unity, and connection among the people.

Introducing “Sogo Sound”, a record label base in Milan dedicated to free expression, bound by the electronic rhythm and driven by people who create, share, and experience music together.

The debut release, SG001, comes from @imgoodboi, fresh off two EPs in 2024 for Unknown To The Unknown, delivering a sub-heavy drum & bass cut with sharp textures and dubbed-out atmospheres.

On remix duties, @a-y-c-e-b-i-o (Funclab Records) reshapes the original into a deep, broken groove, layering percussive tension and sound-system culture rooted motifs.

Ayce Bio is a multidisciplinary artist from Milan, Italy, with a broad skill set as a sound designer, producer, DJ, and creative director. His music weaves together heavy bass, UK garage, fast-paced bouncy techno, lo-fi beats, and house, creating a distinct and immersive sound. His debut album, House Dust Mate—a collaboration with Prev—along with releases on renowned labels like Bosconi Records and La Tempesta Dischi, have cemented his place in the underground music scene. He has also produced remixes for Planet Opal on Dischi Sotterranei (Cartalavonu Remixed), 72-Hour Post Fight on La Tempesta Dischi (72-Hour Post Fight Remix), and Ceri Wax’s Il Suono di Milano Nord on Undamento (HITTE FRESCHE).
As co-founder and creative director of Funclab Collective and Funclab Records, Ayce Bio plays a crucial role in driving these creative outlets, while contributing to music production. He co-produced Evissimax's debut EP REBOOT-Y and produced Amaemi's debut EP DieciDee, further showcasing his range as a producer.

Ayce Bio’s DJ sets have energized major European venues and festivals like Barrakud Festival, Le Mellotron, Red Light Radio, and NTS Radio. He’s shared the stage with acclaimed artists like Mount Kimbie, LCY, Eclair Fifi, and JPEGMAFIA, highlighting his versatility and talent behind the decks.

His work extends beyond music, delving into the realm of audiovisual art and sound design for installations and films. Ayce has contributed to notable projects such as Synthetic Cultures by 2050+ at the 10th International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam, Lost In Stone at Cave Contemporary, If-Then-B at Habitat, and Sceneries Not Songs with Parasite 2.0. He has also composed soundtracks and designed sound for the documentaries Of Children and Men by Glauco Canalis and Jamal Tosmal by Martina Pastori, where he handled music production, sound design, and mix.

Constantly evolving and pushing boundaries, Ayce Bio continues to explore innovative paths, blending sound with visual art to create engaging, thought-provoking experiences.
