We premiere new music from one of the most exciting names in techno right now, RUIZ OSC1 who debuts on Suara with an impressive 4-track offering. We premiere the much-anticipated ‘Crunch Crush (Groovecore Mix)’ as the Columbian techno prodigy serves up an infectious rolling groove that features wandering chords, clambering rhythms, and an irresistible vocal.

Erika Andrea Murcia Ruiz, better known under her monarch RUIZ OSC1 is a Latin DJ and producer born in Bogotá, Colombia, but now based in Columbia. She’s garnered a name for herself as a DJ that pays respect to the craft of techno, whether it be through her vinyl sets of all-encompassing hard-edged grooves from the golden era of techno or through her well-crafted productions that capture her brand of ‘Groovecore’.

The young DJ already boasts an impressive back-catalog of shows at some of techno’s most formidable venues including – Tresor, RSO, Rex, Industrial Copera, Gotec Club, and Vault Sessions to name a few. Releases on Hector Oak’s KAOS imprint alongside other outings on Frenzy, RAW, Bipolar Disorder & more have shown her skill in the studio. RUIZ OSC1 is dedicated to building skeleton-style productions that live off the foundations of all high-end minimalistic techno; through slinky grooves patterns, deep inverted chords, and no-holds-barred low-end precision.

We premiere ‘Crunch Cruch (Groovecore Mix)’, one of the Turin based producers most anticipated tracks. RUIZ OSC1 pieces together a tough entry into the world Groovecore as distorted shuffling percussion fires across the track like an assault on ravers hips, as it’s impossible to keep still once this comes near a speaker. The familiar but nonetheless irresistible ‘Love Sensation’ vocal from ‘Loleatta Holloway’ is the star of the show here, as it cuts through the mix. Dance floor killer of the highest order.
