Metasonic is the psychedelic DJ project of Sidney van Dyk. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa now living in Bangkok, Thailand.

Since first being exposed to psychedelic trance music and culture in 2009 he fell head over heals in love with both.

He believes that the psychedelic trance journey at it's roots is one of the most liberating and freeing experiences one can have. Be it progressive day-time to Full-on night time to Darkpsy etc, etc, etc and all the myriad of genres in between. The journey it takes you within your own consciousness and who you are after experiencing this journey of sound and self is what made him fall in love. 

Hence the name, Metasonic(meta - after / sonic - sound) is a tribute to that place in all of us that we reach after being taken on a psychedelic sound journey.

His vision for this project is to bring about journey sets to take the listener to that special place inside themselves.

A-FAX is the realm of illusive sounds that squirms your thought process into contemplation between twilight baselines and morning revelry. 

An initiative of the craftsman (Arnold) has been enthralled by the distinctive psychedelic sounds to make ravers dance. Arnold got inspirited from the beaches of Goa in the early 2000 and took his passion forward to become a smashing DJ for Ravelations – Dubai’s oldest and premiere music dance portal. 

His mythos is to enrapture people who believe in seeing the sunrise with groove controlled sounds and still like being tricked into the darkness. With immaculate mixing skills and experimental sampling A-FAX spins his tale to make floor-stompers energize and tremble the dance floor yet smile as fluorescent tunes paint their colorful minds.
