She has been supporting the downtempo scene in Kassel for many years with her collective "Dreiradfahrt", playing a magical fusion set in 2023 and she enriches the downtempo scene with her unique sound.

The lovely Sina from the well-known BeYond collective from Berlin is travelling with us through a world full of hypnosis and groove.

✔️ What is your musical background?
For me the active electronic music game started at the beginning of 2021, one month after my first deep-felt rave experience. During a party we had in the community I lived in one of my roommates suggested I might try mixing and introduced me into playing a first track. Since then, the light got lit and the fascination for music made me go ahead. After moving to Berlin six months later and meeting my friend @zhart who also had started to play recently, the journey begun and over time I learned more about collecting and mixing sounds. Soon we got to know our love for downtempo and became part of the heart-filling BeYond collective that also influenced my taste in sound and parties. Since about one year I feel home in playing 95 BPM or slower and got to love the playful and wholesome moments  that slowraves can offer as much as the extra space that Downtempo gives to every sound.

✔️ What is a good afterhour for you?
„...after collectively spending a sweet time. especially then after several hours of dancing, fully entering into all layers of sound may feel extra natural. the time seems to get a different quality and creates a space full of easy and joy. i feel this is where a good afterhour can bring you."

✔️ Thoughts about the Set:
This mix originates from a closing set I played in Beate Uwe in Berlin - what I loved during this set was the fact that the people on the floor really seemed to let themselves go deep into the sound. It’s always beautiful when dancers hop onto the slow lane and appreciate the vibe of slow dark baselines and playful melodies. This gig also felt special because the first part was a b2b with iris anahata (released on magicians on duty) which both of us enjoyed a lot. Especially in wild times like the current ones feel to me I highly appreciate moments where some weight gets lifted from our shoulders and music takes us to the current moment.

>>Wer seid ihr und woher kommt ihr? 
Wir sind Justus und Sina und leben in Berlin.

>>Wie kamt ihr zum Auflegen? 
Ob Aufwärmsound bei Handballspielen, Musik, um die Sonne im Freibad zu genießen, oder der Auswahl der genau richtigen Lieder, bevor eine Autofahrt losgehen kann - Justus war schon immer derjenige, der die Stille gerne mit passender Musik füllen wollte. Als ihn sein bester Freund fragte, warum er eigentlich nicht auflegt, wurden ihm die Augen geöffnet. Er hat sich daraufhin direkt einen Controller bestellt und die zharte Reise fand ihren Ursprung. Sina wurde von ihrem früheren Mitbewohner dazu inspiriert. Einen Monat nach ihrer ersten tief empfundenen Rave-Erfahrung hat er während einer Party in ihrer damaligen Gemeinschaft vorgeschlagen, dass sie vielleicht auch mal spielen sollte und sie direkt dabei unterstützt, einen ersten Track zu spielen. Die damalige Weisheit „wenn's ein Banger ist, juckt der Übergang niemanden“ hat den Einstieg erleichtert, hat sich allerdings mit der Zeit als Trugschluss herausgestellt. 

>>Was hat euch für das Set inspiriert? 
Wir hatten Lust, mal wieder gemeinsam unsere Liebe zu 95 BPM auszudrücken und erfreuen uns sowieso an den mittlerweile wieder wachsenden Überschneidungen unseres Sounds. Die Freude darüber konnten wir bei Justus' WG Party im tiefsten Nebel ausleben. Kommt gerne dazu geschwebt.


>>Was gefällt euch besonders an "langsamer" Musik? 
Mit langsamer Musik verbinden wir viel Attraktives drumherum. Zu Downtempo tanzen geht für uns mit ganz anderen Gefühlen und Zielen einher als zu jeder anderen Musik zu feiern. Durch das verlangsamte Tempo bekommen alle Töne mehr Raum um zu wirken und können so ganz bewusst und gezielt wahrgenommen und betanzt werden. In einer Welt, in der einem alles zu viel und überwältigend sein kann, fühlen sich die kuschligen, warmherzigen und unaufgeregten Räume, die mit Downtempo einhergehen, aus vielen Gründen wertvoll an. Neben den meditativen Zuständen, die wir durch das Tanzen zu langsamen Beats immer wieder betreten dürfen, ist die Downtempo Bubble einfach super wohltuend, achtsam und einfach eine süße Herzenscommunity, in der fühlen und gezieltes reagieren fernab von Hektik und dennoch mit Ekstase ausgelebt werden kann. Außerdem gibt es in der Welt auch einfach schon genügend Schnelligkeit 🙂

Die Sonne lacht und die Pflanzen sprießen – Der Mai hat uns nun voll in den Bann seiner Blütenmanigfaltigkeit gezogen.
Ganz im Zeichen dieser Stimmung hat uns die fabelhafte Karo ✧ Kosmos ihre Interpretation eines Igelkarussells kreiert. 
Es klingt zwar ein wenig ironisch, ist aber wahr: Während sie als Teenagerin mit ihrem Geschmack für elektronische Musik unter ihren Freund*innen meist alleine war, fand Karo ✧ Kosmos, aufgewachsen in Berlin, ihre Basis und viele Gleichgesinnte in Zürich. Trotzdem dauerte es noch einige Jahre, bis sie sich hinter die Decks wagte. Wir sind wirklich sehr froh, dass sie diesen Schritt gewagt hat, denn ihre Passion verzückt uns nun ein um‘s andere Mal <3 
Mittlerweile lebt sie das aus, was ihr wohl im Blut liegt und vermag es mit einer Leichtigkeit, zwischen verschiedenen Stimmungen und Genres zu wechseln. Dabei überrascht sie, ohne zu überfordern, lässt Langeweile keine Chance, greift spielerisch die Atmosphäre auf und führt die Hörer in ihre Welt. Es ist, als ob man von ihrer Musik an die Hand genommen wird um gemeinsam auf Entdeckungsreise zu gehen. Dabei ist es ganz gleich, ob schön deep und slow oder flott und treibend, sie bedient mehrere Gangarten spielerisch und holt damit jeden ab.
