Rising to prominence after winning the Red Bull Music Academy’s DJ competition, Shimza became known for his technical mastery behind the decks, earning the nicknames “Effect Master” and “Vinyl Assassin.” Beyond his electrifying performances at festivals like Ultra South Africa, SXM Festival, and Paradise Ibiza, Shimza has made a lasting impact through Kunye Records, his label dedicated to uniting and amplifying African musical talent. Blending traditional African rhythms with modern electronic energy, Shimza continues to shape the global Afro tech landscape with passion, purpose, and innovation.
