Just right with the kick-off of this year´s summer season, Milk & Sugar start promoting their new single „Canto Del Pilón“ – a world music influenced summer track that stands out for his own. 

This new single is a cooperation with venezuelan singer María Marquéz, who is a great star in Spanish Speaking Middle- and South America since the late 60ies. „Canto Del Pilón“ is a black workers song about the colonial history of South America.

Remixes are coming from Berlin mastermind Taan Newjam, Italy's very own Simone Vitullo, Déepalma honcho Yves Murasca and chillout legend Afterlife.

ft. the Belgian ‘Red Devils’ Score with ‘Melody’, the official UEFA 2016 anthem

In October, Belgium's national ‘Red Devils’ earned a place at the 2016 UEFA European Championship in France. After the match at the King Baudouin Stadium, the world's best DJs, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike performed a sensational DJ set. 

And as it turns out, that was only a taste of things to come. Because the Belgian DJ-duo also composed the official Euro 2016 anthem, ‘Melody’.  At the request of the Red Devils and the Royal Belgian Football Association, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike got busy in the studio to create the Belgian Euro 2016 anthem. But they weren't alone. They were joined by international top DJs Steve Aoki and Ummet Ozcan. The result is ‘Melody’. It's a strong anthem that will inspire our Red Devils to perform at their best in France. 

The video clip was created by director Adil El Arbi. You may have spotted him recently around Antwerp, where he filmed a part of the clip. It promises to be a film with an urban look and feel.  And a sorely needed dose of positive energy for us Belgians.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike give their take on Bassjacker’s infamous ‘F*CK’

Smash The House’s head honcho’s Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are always prepared to push the boundaries of dance music, and their edit of Bassjacker’s ‘F*CK’ is no exception. Bassjackers are no stranger to creating dancefloor anthems themselves such as “Bring That Beat”, “Marco Polo”, “Rough” and many more. With Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike following on from their Beatport #1 track ‘Melody’ on their own colossal Smash The House imprint, you can guarantee that this combination of two acts in such demand will only result in one outcome; a dancefloor bomb.
The bouncy bass, glitchy beat and stop-start synth give the track a jacking feel and provide the groove, but it is the cheeky vocal that sets the track apart. The lyrics, from DJ Yoeri’s original ‘Fuck On Cocaine’, released in the midst of rave in 2001, are a throwback to the hedonistic reputation of dance music in years gone by. The growling bassline combines well with the vocal in the breakdown to set an ominous tone, which is switched up later in the track, with an epic ensemble of melodies and harmonies in the latter part creating a memorable contrast. Bassjackers are a one-of-a-kind DJ-duo, who have made an enormous rise to the top these last years. The numerous collaborations with other artists and even remixes for A-list artists only confirm their status as dancefloor masters.

London producer Dino Lenny returns with a new dark dancefloor drop, ready to cause a stir after a string of on-point release over the last year on the likes of Innervisions, Diynamic, Ellum and Sapiens.   Title track 'Techno Is Dead' lands on his own Fine Human imprint and takes a play from people sentencing the end of a style, but the truth is the floors are having it like no tomorrow. Sonic wise, it’s a 8 minute slice of driving, shadowy, electronic sound, with rumbling 4/4 beats and warehouse ready builds working in tandem for a truly standout piece of finely balanced sound, that will no doubt light up the clubs.  Following up is ' Go Down To Mexico', with an array of off kilter stabs and trippy vocal elements solidifying Dino's dexterous production style. Expect to hear these across the clubs in the coming months.
