The Tuxtla Gutiérrez duo, Red Deviil, joins SYNTHICIDE with their EP, Vida Bandida. Producers Guni Ca and BlakG deliver fresh tracks of slick EBM—a style they’ve become known for in underground circuits. Vida Bandida begins with the new beat swing of “Garrobo.” Its vehement energy is emphasized as rampant basslines heave overtop crushing snares and a thunderous kick. “Beliko” is fueled on a forcefulness that courses through its veins, pumping a severely danceable beat alongside haunting vocals that are reminiscent of Adi Newton from Clock DVA.

Side B begins with “Rush” that seeps in pure, hypnotic sensuality. With brassy synthesizer calls and answers, its running bassline undulates and simmers as it boils overtop the strict rhythm. “Vida Bandida” is EBM at its most X-rated: its sterile bassline and the urgency of the track's atmosphere build to a precipice with the addition of near-orgasmic vocals. The Berlin-based Randstad's remix of “Vida Bandida” speeds up the track to a trance-like mesmerism, putting emphasis on the vocal that surrounds and seduces.

The Vida Bandida EP creates a boiling tension from its inception to the very end. Here, Red Deviil acquired fragments of sweat from the dancefloor, a syrupy carnality that can only be found in a mass of bodies moving to the beat.
