What does "love" and "summer of love" mean to you?

This mix was inspired by an open call to record radio mixes for NTS on the theme of "Summer of Love". In advance of the recording, I asked friends to tell me what "love" and "Summer of Love" meant to them individually. I didn't want to give any guidelines regarding length or content, but rather leave room for spontaneous thoughts, feelings and ideas. The result is an experimental, atmospheric mix that is carried by thoughts about "Summer of Love".

Dieser Mix ist von einer Ausschreibung inspiriert, Radio-Mixes für NTS zum Thema „Summer of Love“ aufzunehmen. Im Voraus der Aufnahme habe ich Freund*innen gebeten mir zu schildern, was „Liebe“ und „Summer of Love“ für sie individuell bedeutet. Hierbei wollte ich keine Vorgaben bezüglich der Länge oder des Inhalts machen, sondern vielmehr spontanen Gedanken, Gefühlen und Einfällen Raum lassen. Das Ergebnis ist ein experimenteller, atmosphärischer Mix, der von den Gedanken über „Summer of Love“ getragen wird.

'PLASMA' w/ TSUNIMAN - a monthly evening show exploring the wide spectrum of Trance music, focusing on Euro, Hardtrance and the progressive sound of the 1990s.

'PLASMA' (Плазма) is a 1997 trance track by producer Eduard Gubin (aka Cosmonaut, aka Radiotrance). "He was one of the first electronic music artists who has been successfully pulling in big crowds all over Russia and Eastern Europe. For over two decades his mission has been to transport the masses to a vivid alternate realm of progressive house, techno, breaks and trance" (RA).

This time, @tsunimanmusic invites one of her favourite producers, @karawai !

DJ Karawai is a producer and DJ from Berlin, as well as one of the heads of urwaxx label, ghetto propagandist and opponent of genre restrictions. The roots of his tastes lay deeply in dubstep/UK sounds, with a significant influence from the Chicago Juke scene. Karawai plays around and blends genres in his material, making new exciting decisions on the edge of Memphis, Acid, Electro and Trance. Currently, he's been moulding a new wave of GhettoPsyTrance for which he mixes all kinds of fast Psy basslines with Juke support overhead. 150+bpm and never slower.
