On Friday the 16th of March, corecore invited sixteen DJs and artists, all more or less local to Amsterdam’s music scene(s), to share 20 minute mini-mixes and hybrid performances in a six hour listening session in De Sering.

The boy walked through the dark forest, surrounded by the soft luminescent glow of plants and creatures. The night was warm, and the moon hung high in the sky, casting a pale light over everything. Every step he took seemed to sync with the forest's rhythm, as if the trees themselves were breathing in harmony with him. Glowing lights danced in the distance, creating the sensation that he had wandered into a mystical world. His heart filled with wonder as nature whispered its ancient secrets to him, and he felt a deep connection with everything around him.

What’s it like to be a frog? - a question posed by philosophizers and scienticians alike for nigh on millenia without any definitive progress or resolution to the issue. The sad truth is that Man, in his usual self absorbed way, has only ever attempted to apply his own logical tricks and turns of phrase to describe the totally nonhuman sensual experience of the frog. In his arrogance, Man has failed to even realise the futility of his venture, of superimposing himself onto its self. The frog’s rich experience is its own, and now for possibly the first time in human history Man may, if he allows himself to, glimpse the essence of the frog. But not through word, or through self referential descriptions and calculations; but through self-absolving experience - through the Frog of Earth.
