Tamango Records bossman Yaya returns to his throne with an original EP after a while, and he does it purely with the captivating yet lush 'Something Between Us' EP. His comeback also sees two familiar faces and close friends of the label, Mahony and Nacho Bolognani, each providing a remix of the lead track.

Skippy and armed with a menacing bassline at its core, 'Something Between Us' is all about love, as slinking percussion warps around hazy pads, funky guitar riffs, and soothing MJ vocal chops for a lively and bright minimal house piece. 

On the remix duties, Take Notes owner and Sunwaves resident Mahony (Desolat, Mindshake) brings his tight Romanian trademark sound to the table for a funk-fuelled piece by merging rolling drum arrangements with a hypnotic lead for an anthem made for the terrace. Closing the package, Argentinian favourite Nacho Bolognani (Key Records, Moan) goes back in time with full-bodied house grooves, booming basslines, skippy grooves, and old-school piano chords.

AG is a DJ, tastemaker, and producer based in NYC and known to many as the DJ Breakdown Guy on TikTok (49K followers). With a growing catalog of releases and a sharp ear for selection, AG is on a mission to make people move with groove-laced house music that cuts through the noise.

Following the success of his debut tracks Drum Rolls Deep and Life’s Rhythm, released on Quantum Flux Audio, AG has established himself as an artist to watch. Drawing inspiration from legends like Frankie Knuckles, Masters At Work, and Nic Fanciulli to modern torchbearers like Franky Rizardo, Claptone, George Smeddles, and Chris Stussy, he blends timeless rhythm with a fresh perspective.

His monthly mix series Thou Shalt Dance, now 29 episodes deep, drops on the 1st of every month and has been steadily gaining momentum, with Episode 22 recently surpassing 3,500 streams.

A true student of the game, AG is as dedicated to the craft of DJing as he is to production. His music selection continues to evolve as he digs deeper into the rich history and global reach of house music. In the studio, he’s been honing his sampling skills to further define a sound that’s unmistakably his own.
