CHINCHA is an underground DJ and curator rooted in raw techno culture and long-form, physical sound transmission. Based in Hamburg, his work focuses on reduced rhythm structures, hypnotic repetition and deep floor-oriented pressure.

His journey into electronic music began in the late 1990s through vinyl culture on Hamburg’s Reeperbahn, where early influences from hip-hop, techno and club architecture shaped his approach to DJing. Today, his sets are built around vinyl and CD, mixed with precision, restraint and a clear sense for spatial energy.

Rather than fast narratives or peak-time formulas, CHINCHA constructs extended sound environments — techno as process, not performance. His selections move between trance-inflected techno, broken rhythms and stripped-down house elements, always guided by the dynamics of the room.

As founder and core contributor to DroneLab and the TAPE_Ø series, he operates at the intersection of DJ culture, underground documentation and sonic research. The focus lies on one-take recordings, unedited transmissions and archive-driven releases — no artist credits, no official formats, no promotional intent.
