We wanted to write a song about how love changes — how that intense sense of forever at the start can feel perfect, but it’s impossible to hold onto. It’s a truth that often smoulders until it fights its way out. We wrote the lyrics and melody in a voice that’s direct and honest, with a steady build and big choruses.
