Alice Daisy sings about her personal struggles and hardships with watching her peers succeed as she tries to find herself and her sound. In addition to familiar sweet, smooth, thoughtfully crafted instrumentation on cello, tenor banjo, acoustic guitar and pedal steel, Marigolds dabbles in new directions, exploring hints of pop and soul, with the sounds of electric bass, jazz organ and synth.  There is a version of this album that has vocals on each track.
