While on cusp of summer, as all are gearing up for the 2015 season we’ve been busy putting together the 15th edition of our genre exposé, Full Body Workout. This time around we’ve got amazing tracks from Joyce Muniz, Alican, Julian Ganzer & IOAKIM SAYZ, Tom Peters and more, all mixed delicately by the lovely Seattle native, Camea.

The compilation features everything from playful melodies as heard in Tom Peters’ ‘We Are Going Ahead’ to heavier, edgier (no pun intended) moods like ‘Edge Of Infinity’ from Camea herself. At a mere 17 years of age, the Floridian producer Landis LaPace makes his debut EP on This Ain't Bristol with his tracks “Surrender” and “Zesty Nachos".   

Surrender, one of the funkiest numbers to hit This Ain't Bristol yet, has an eerie intro that soon switches into a bouncy, melodic banger with carefully scattered sub's, reverse warps, and one hell of a catchy riff!  

Zesty Nachos is more of a late night groover with minimal vocal's, powerful minor chords and a piercing bass that gel's beautifully with them.

  Landis presented us with his own techy VIP mix of the Nachos track which fit to our German background like a “handschuhe” - that's glove in German.   

We love nachos, but surrender to the fact that we love Landis' Zesty Nachos and it's VIP mix a whole lot more!

When i was around 6 my favorite show in Germany was Sesamstrasse. It was a German adaptation of the American Sesame Street. I was really crazy about the show, and I used to always watch it at my Grandparents in Germany.

The intro song was very dear to me. The lyrics went Der Die Das, Wie Weshalb Warum. Which ruffly translates to He She It, How, For what reason, Why.

The intro song spawned this Childish Curiosity in me. I had to explore everything around me. I would bang on lids in the kitchen to hear what they sounded like.

It was this song that made we want to make sounds with different objects, and experiment with early rythms. From this moment on i was engulfed in anything that made a sound.

Effectively conveying one’s feelings to music is a sought after goal of the
most seasoned producers. Accomplished by some and mastered by a
gifted few, we should all take a moment to welcome, Aaron Snapes.

A product of London, in his early years, Aaron browsed the club
scene sampling from a variety of genres. In search of the right
groove, he bounced from Old School Hip-Hop, to Drum & Bass,
from Trance, to Garage, until one night, feeling clarity, he
experienced a resonance with House music. Through the years,
nurturing this interest became a passion for Snapes and he soon
found himself at the helm of his own productions, creatively painting
a musical canvas while developing his loosely defined Tech House
sound. Clinging to the perimeter of this genre, 2012 found Aaron in
Leeds, UK, where his music garnered attention from personal
inspirations like Dirty Bird front man, Claude Von Stroke and House
legend Derrick Carter.

When asked about his talents and unique sound, the lighthearted
producer shrugs with a smile, “I just want to make fun, groovy music
for people to dance to.” Not taking things too serious seems to work good for Snapes as he continues to refresh listeners with his imaginative music
