Tempe, AZ's Petty Things are a band we are excited about. "Bored" is one of our favorite songs of the year. We decided to do a tape with them based on that song alone and when the final product showed up we couldn't have been happier. It's so catchy and so snappy and right on. Sure to be a Gnar favorite for years to come and one of the best debuts by any band we've had the pleasure of putting to tape. Burn out in the sun to this blisteringly hot rock and roll from the desert!

"There is a highway that starts at the Pacific Ocean and stretches all the way across the southern USA. If you cruise that highway it only takes a day's drive from LA to reach the desert vibe oasis of Tempe, AZ. Nestled next to the bottom corner of Phoenix, the city in the desert; you couldn't walk out of it in the day and the spirits come creeping around at night. The AC units hum and the succulents reach out to the sun, and the Petty Things are writing perfect pop songs in a hidden house somewhere there in the desert city of Tempe, AZ."

I had this idea of getting a group of friends together and making some folksy country songs but there wasn't a lot of people who were into it. I showed Nick Rattigan my song and he was into it and we recorded it immediately. He played guitar and sang some vocals. I'm really happy that I can share this song with you. Thank you to Alex Bleeker and Kevin Morby for inspiring me to make music like this.
