This is about eternal love, life, happiness within us. We have the power to keep this eternal love in our hearts. After losing my dad last year and feeling so sad, I realized that we are feeling sorry for ourselves. The love we feel and felt will always remain. This is what we should remember, how it felt, how it feels now.

Long Time Gone was originally written as a “swing” blues for a recording session with Bill Kavanagh's Blues Affliction in 2014 (SC link below).
	In keeping with my fascination for eccentric rhythms, I later thought I would try it in a 7 beat meter.   The result was good enough that I asked Foresto, N.O.B.S., and Tot. to give me a hand.   These very talented musicians had joined with me previously on “Heart of Snow” (SC link below).
	The track came out even better than I had hoped ... retaining all the characteristics of a rock/funk boogie while losing none of the odd feel of the unusual meter.
