MindTrip brings the first studio collaboration between Portuguese uprising talent Nørbak and Argentinian head honcho Pfirter. Artur Moreira aka Nørbak introduced himself to our MindTrip world with a contribution to the Mutable Minds series, which led to his debut EP 'Praying to Silence' in April 2020. Since then, he has rapidly evolved into an established producer with his own signature sound. After Pfirter's remix work on Artur's label Hayes, the two exchanged a few 'live takes' that led to four finished tracks that complete their first joint work: 'Life, Truth, Freedom, Fear'. This release is the final outcome of two artists coming from different generations, yet sharing the same view of the raw and forward thinking sound of Techno. This is MindTrip!

“Ximo Noguera started DJing in 1991, attracted by the vibrant electronic scene in Valencia in the late 80s. His interest in EBM led him to explore other styles such as downtempo, psy trance, break beat, electro, IDM, trip-hop and minimal. Currently, his acts are divided into two types of DJ sets: a dancefloor-oriented style
ranging from experimental techno to industrial, and another type of set that focuses on experimental genres such as ambient or advanced electronic music. As a DJ, it should be noted that selection and technique are his two strong pillars.

Since 2013, together with Jesús Sierra, he has been in charge of NXT recordings, a techno-oriented label, as well as being the owner of Industrial Complexx, a platform he founded in 2019 and which operates as a record label, publishing house, webzine and event coordination linked to his activity. Industrial Complexx is also his current alter ego.

His music has been released on labels such as NXT recordings, HC Records, ART21, Industrial Complexx, Volumens and Soil Records, as well as editing books on bands and artists such as Esplendor Geométrico, Absolute Body Control, German Army, The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Hainbach, Nostalgie Éternelle, Opéra Multi Steel, Miclono, AtomTM and Orphx.”

enigmatic industrial techno crunch, Phoenix. Shifting through the haunting chords of Recondite’s dynamic
Murphy’s Law, to the brooding synth of Poseidon by Ukrainian duo Woo York, the realisation of Afterlife
utopia is upon us. The repetitive, mesmerising synth and effective reverb that Somne creates with Triangle
is an odyssey within itself. From there, John Hester’s expertly woven ‘Logan’ is a feverish techno stab that
transverses through the emotional senses, transitioning to Locked Groove’s adroitly crafted Emeralds, to
Ryan James Ford’s ambient, albeit percussive, techno cut Toree Bahrstad. Die Wiederkehr is the outcome
of Obscure Shape & SHDW’s collaboration, which incorporates facets of techno and trance that have
been shaped with real guile and finesse. Mind Against round off the compilation with Gravity - a
mystifying ambience and a fitting title as we touch back down to planet earth.
