In the body of work of Wolfgang Voigt – who, like few others, has shaped and influenced the world of electronic music with countless different projects since the early 1990s -, GAS stands out in particular. Even after nearly 20 years, the sound of GAS doesn’t seem to have lost any of its luster, as shown by the commanding success of Kompakt’s fall 2016 re-release of the back catalogue as box set.

The overwhelming feedback from the international fan community and worldwide media outlets attests once again to the timelessness of GAS. Which is why it will feel like hardly a day has passed since the release of the last official album “Pop” nearly 20 years ago, when Wolfgang Voigt resumes this specific path with the upcoming new full-length NARKOPOP (out 21 april).

The first GAS live tour since 8 years will start in early April in Copenhagen followed by selected shows in Germany, Austria, UK, Netherlands, Spain and Italy.

Wolfgang Voigt, born 1961 in Cologne, is an artist, music producer, label manager and co-founder of Kompakt, the internationally renowned, Cologne-based label for techno and electronic music.

A new track to include in my EP based around using the Make Noise​ 0-Coast as the sole sound source for everything. Sequenced by the KORG​ SQ-1 and running it through Ableton​ Live's resonator and reverb, it's soundscapey, ambient and with a whole lot of feedback generated by hitting the resonator exactly at the right spot via the 0-Coast's Overtone circuit.

LA duo @psychic-health have a new LP out on @time-no-place this month. While their self-titled debut took inspiration from the clubs of Berlin and Melbourne, 'Exclusion' is more inward-looking, "a document of the duo tunneling down the studio wormhole." Devon Steffens and Gabriel Mounsey's modular experiments have resulted in a swirling, hypnotic night time album that connects the dots between different eras of techno. We're very happy to be premiering 'Frame', an ambient cut from the album's dark centre. Gliding in over ominous chords, it sounds like a dense smog slowly engulfing the freeways at 4am.
