Capping a very special week where Claptone made it onto the main BBC Radio 1 playlist with his Remix for Gregory Porter. Michael Mayer, Purple Disco Machine and Claptone himself now revisit his last single Dear Life.

Back in May, the man with the golden-scooped beak revealed ‘Dear Life’, the first single taken from his debut album ‘Charmer’ (Out Oct 16th). Today we bring you 3 incredible reworkings, featuring Kompakt Recs co-founder and electronic music powerhouse Michael Mayer, super-hot Beatport fav Purple Disco Machine and another special remix from the masked man himself, Claptone. 

The golden scooped beak of Claptone emerges from the darkness with ‘Charmer’, his 13-track debut offering. In the last few years Claptone has become known for releasing big records primed for late nights and packed clubs all over the world. ‘Charmer’ however fuses his signature house sound with a more eclectic aesthetic, featuring guest appearances from Nathan Nicholson (The Boxer Rebellion), Peter, Bjorn & John, Young Galaxy & Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. 

The album will drop following a packed summer touring schedule which will reach all corners of the globe and the run-away success of their remix for Gregory Porter, a tune which has dominated Ibiza this year and was the biggest selling track on Beatport for weeks on end. 

The album also features Claptone’s Beatport chart-topping early singles ‘No Eyes’ & ‘Ghost’, both enormous smashes on essential Berlin house label Exploited. 

While Exploited continues to deliver the club-spinners via Beatport, the album versions will be released via Different Recordings/Pias.

Originally released back in 1998 this track really became an evergreen in house music. The time has come to give it an update! And that is exactly what DJ Tonka did with "She Knows You" – freshening up sounds & arrangement but keeping the vibe of the fantastic original. 

He also teamed up with Swiss based producer Calippo (well known for his great releases on the Enormous Tunes label) to create a more clubby version, combining signature sounds of both artists. 

To complete the package DJ Tonka delivered a Sunset Mix of "She Knows You" which he road-tested during his live sets last summer. Nothing but excellent! 

Without any doubt: the master of uplifting & piano house is back!

In November we had the pleasure to release "Lunation" the second studio album of our favorite Berliner duo Luna City Express. The album includes 16 amazing tracks riding from house/techno to downbeat and funk with a lot of good vocal and musical featuring. We thought to ask some of the label's and LCE fav producer to put their touch on some selected tracks to release the remixes.
