the ending track from an unfinished, will-probably-never-be-released-all-at-once diyu album about my love/hate relationship with breakcore and some the people ive met in the scene.

i love all the awesome people i met from making mashcore over the years but i honestly can not stand the breakcore community itself anymore LMFAO. so this, and whatever random bullshit single i happen to shit out twice a year will probably be some of the last of diyu for the foreseeable future. im considering finishing up what i have remaining of the unfinished album and just throwing it out as a final EP but IDK! listen to my hardtech :3c https://cthrn.bandcamp.com/album/get-what-you-want

anyway this song is a remix of Komm Susser Tod from The End of Evangelion. i watched Evangelion for the first time just recently, a week or two ago, and that shit was fucking GOOD. really REALLY depressing (hense the song name lmao), but SO well made!!! i actually made the vast majority of this song before i watched any Evangelion; i heard Komm Susser Tod in a livestream and was like DAMN?? this song GOOD??? But after watching Evangelion and understanding the actual context of the song, i felt like i couldnt let this song rot in my bandcamp drafts for any longer.

the parallels between this song and how i view "diyu" as an identity really kinda fuck me up. i built the majority of my audience from diyu, its by far what gets the most plays and donations, but i kind of resent it at the same time and just want to self destruct my own history for no other reason that im malding about the breakcore community. something i once held super dear and found likeminded people in, just to have it go to total shit over the last few years. its been going to shit even before i started making breakcore, it just really culminated in my head more recently. third impact type shit heehee hoohoo
