NZ BASED DJ & PRODUCER

BAYKER is a New Zealand born, DJ and Producer. In 2015 BAYKER found a second home in Berlin, where he spent six years in the underground electronic music scene, producing Melodic House & Techno.

Music has been an intrinsic part of who BAYKER is. Discovering his ability to experience and manipulate melodies, BAYKER became inspired to guide people on a journey into the present moment, with the energetic sum of eclectic sounds, waves of subtle intensity and his signature energy of tension and release.

During his time in Berlin, BAYKER collaborated with Berlin based electronic group ‘GHEIST’ on the track ‘Salvation‘. The track received great attention, reaching #14 on the Beatport charts, and remaining in the Top 100 for some time. BAYKER would later collaborate again on his next E.P release ‘Howl’ signed to RADAU. ‘Howl’ was a global success charting : #20 on the Beatport Top 100 Melodic House & Techno and #3 & 4 on the Beatport Hype Top 100 Melodic House & Techno

BAYKER now has his own imprint ZELAND, where he continues to release driving, deep melodic tracks, accompanied by his vocals.

I have started my music career with an age of 20 years. In 2002 i bought two Technics 1210 turntables and started to practise and learn DJing. After i have played some gigs in Frankfurt area the following years, i decidet to make a break for my family plans. i have married in 2006 and after my last daughter was born in 2010 i have started through a good friend again with DJing and to produce my own music.

Hier könnte eine typische Biografie stehen. Ist aber nicht so. Ich habe keine Schallplattensammlung geerbt. Meine Eltern waren keine Musiker. Ich habe nie ein Instrument gespielt. Ich habe nie produziert. Ich habe kein Label. Ich habe keine Booking-Agentur. Ich bin kein DJ. Ich liebe Musik und empfehle sie weiter. Ich erzähle damit auch gerne eigene Geschichten. Musik sagt mehr als tausend Worte. Sie soll mich nicht reich machen. Und nicht berühmt. Nur glücklich. Das ist alles. Und das ist auch gut so.
