Sonia Singh kicks off 2022 with her new summer hit single “Banjuka Na Mi“ as she teams up with Tanzanian afro pop star Kusah for this romantic smooth jam. Meaning `dance with me´. The song is an invitation to gyrate and move with your dancing partner. This r&b styled afro beats marks a new starting point to introduce Sonia to a wider audience both on radio as in the clubs, specifically in Tanzania and East Africa as a whole. Banjuka was produced and written by the Sifa Akim, an upcoming producer talent based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Living 4 the positive, the title of the current single of German-Nigerian singer Abiodun, is set to be released by Ajazco Records in mid-April 2018. Abiodun is probably one of the artists you already heard of, but probably do not know. He has been active under the moniker "Don Abi" collaborating with artists such as Gentleman, Xavier Naidoo, Patrice and Maceo Parker since the mid-1990s. He gained fame in Germany as a member of the Brothers Keepers collective which sold over 220,000-copies of their single "Adriano (the final warning)".

Living 4 the Positive, is the first of several singles to be releases in the Fall of 2018 from his upcoming album "Crossing Over". It marks Abiodun's comeback to the concert halls and music industry.

Living 4 the Positive could also be called moving out of the negative. The song describes a positive attitude to life that can be encountered unexpectedly. Musically, l4tp is unmistakably inspired by the legendary Soul Sound of  Stax and Motown from the 1960s, most especially the chorus with its heavy hitting background choirs which reminds us of the hopeful message ("the gospel of love") – an intriguing mix of up-tempo-, rock- and soul-power.

Abiodun delivers a fresh afro-fusion banger with his new single “My Money“. The song has a smooth vibe with catchy vocals on a minimalistic production. My Money’s lyrics portray in a playful way the image of success in a world dominated by money and material needs. The song was produced and arranged by Abiodun for Ajazco Records and is his second release under the Ajazcobeats series in 2020.

Abiodun is a traveller with a cosmopolitan consciousness and a universal message, that is as timeless as relevant. He has an uncompromising and powerful sound filled with passion and depth. He manouvers playfully through an individual and contemporary sound universe and his music fuses classical elements of soul, blues, funk and rock with Abiodun’s African roots. 

The German-Nigerian singer and composer, is one of the most interesting, international commuters of a new Urban Roots Movement contributing to the current music culture with diversity and vibrancy.

Growing up in Europe and Africa he has been influenced by the best of both worlds. He is a co-founder of the Afro-German musical collective “Brothers Keepers”. Their song "Adriano (die letzte Warnung)" (Adriano the final warning) was released in 2001. It became an anti racism anthem selling well over 220,000 copies and making it to the Top 5 of the German pop charts. The sophomore album “Am I my Brother’s Keeper?” was released on Sony Music in 2005.

As a Solo-Act Abiodun has released under the name of “Don Abi“ two cross-genre albums: “Act of Love” (V2 Records 2003) and “No Philosophy” (Toolhouse Recordings 2007).

In addition to his solo career, Abiodun for many years collaborated with artists like Maceo Parker, UB40, Patrice, Xavier Naidoo, Gentleman, Gregory Isaacs and Burnt Friedman. In 2005 Abiodun played a key role on Bantu’s Album "Fuji Satisfaction” which won critical acclaim and the Kora Awards as "Best Group West Africa" and "Best Group Africa".

Abiodun’s new album "Break Free" (to be released 11/2018) is a natural progression of his musical artistry over the past two decades. It's a retro-modern journey through Abiodun's musical world.

Abiodun is supported on the album and at concerts by his band “The Ajazcorock”, consisting of experienced jazz and pop musicians.
