°s is inspired by patterns in urban nature: language; behaviour; seasons, and along with the poem, explores the cyclical psychological peaks and troughs experienced during a pandemic. Live multi-instrumental improvisations apply the fibonacci sequence to create melodies and rhythms that mimic fractal patterns in nature, and are situated within binaural field recordings captured during essential travel in the first pandemic lockdown.

28.11.21 12pm -2pm netilradio blending live performance and djing for Episode 7 of An ocean of ink in a single drop: The Gateway Experience. The show is based around Dr Robert Monroe’s Hemi-sync technique for out of body experiences and astral projection. The show will follow the narration of a diary of my experiences exploring the technique, which involved specific exercises alongside audio files to synchronise both hemispheres of my brain, with the aim to facilitate out of body experiences; to say the outcome was wild was an understatement. It was part of a big CIA study recently declassified into the US government exploring consciousness expansion and remote viewing for espionage purposes, where they undertook extensive experiments using the technique.

Aboutface is back live on @Netilradio 12pm - 2pm (UK GMT +1) with his bi-montly live + Dj hybrid show ‘An Ocean of Ink in a Single Drop’.  EP 9, is a special collaborative performance called Qachuu Aloom (Seed is Kin), centered around a specially written poem courtesy of @duckett-1 , expertly and tenderly recited by darker. 

“We've always viewed our seed relatives as relatives and kin” - Tsosie-Peña (Santa Clara Pueblo Native American community). As when seeds thrown into a derelict industrial factory, slowly democratises the decaying steel, this episode explores how planting seeds, figuratively and literally, can be an act of resistance and solidarity, geoshaping the cinders of humanity into a new future and showing us cycles are ephemeral and change is inevitable. 

The amazing supporting animations in this artwork called ‘The Elusive Good Egg, are by @miloustella_art ’. Collaboration is key to building hope and new futures.

The final episode of An Ocean of Ink in a Single drop EP10 - 物の哀れ Mono no Aware. Mono no aware describes the feelings of sympathy a person feels upon becoming aware of the fleeting,impermanent nature of life. Mono no aware suggests that impermanence should not just be accepted, but appreciated, often typified by the beauty of the cherry blossom (Sakura); the flower blooms intensely, yet only for a short period of time each year. As the flowers die and the petals fall, cherry blossoms line the streets like a layer of soft, pink snow, and are most beautiful when captured between the precipice of life and death.

We truly appreciate things when we accept they do not last forever.

Join me for live performances with guitar, flute , clarinet and electronics, conceptually selected music and 6 specially selected Matsuo Bashō Haikus, recorded in Japanese and English by Fumika Geary & darker.

“Zan, Zendegi, Azadi” (meaning “Woman, Life, Freedom”), initially a Kurdish motto, زن زندگی آزادی has become the chant of current protests in Iran. Women bravely have risked their lives on the streets to fight against patriarchy, harassment, and servitude to a fascist system.

For this, I am presenting a new moniker – Eca_Tuoba, who is a non-binary spirit who resides in the polarity-space of Aboutface. They are the vengeance arm of universal nature that becomes manifested in the physical realm, following a build up of toxic human behaviour that disrupts the delicate balance between light and dark energy.

The set includes 2 upcoming Aboutface tracks which will be my next release on Coordinates also called Zan, Zendegi, Azadi. The release will include 3 tracks, named after the words of protest in the EP title,  and will include a remix from an artist I’ve loved for sometime, @surgeonsgirl.

The release will be on a handmade LTD stone USB with ‘Mahsa' (مهسا) on the stones in Farsi. Mahsa Amini is a 22-year-old Iranian of Kurdish origin who had been arrested for allegedly breaching the Islamic dress code for women and died in suspicious circumstances whilst in custody. This was the catalyst for the mass public protests that has also led to the deaths of other young women and girls. Profits from the release will be split between various Irainian related human rights organisations.

When the word ‘d3stiny’ is written lucidly during a dream, it initiates a pseudo-reality personalised game experience to fulfil the objectives and complete the game. However, the closer the dreamer comes to completing the game, the more they will start to identify the game as their waking reality, causing disruptions, side effects, and the blurring of all unconscious-conscious realities. This game experience is hosted by Dream Creator 17 (dark_e_r). Time to re-enter the manifold! ✨💤✨

Zan, Zendegi, Azadi (Woman, Life, Freedom), initially a Kurdish motto, 
زن زندگی آزادی has become the chant of current protests in Iran. Women bravely have risked their lives on the streets to fight against patriarchy, harassment, and servitude to a fascist system. This project has been developed and advised with the help of an anonymous collective of individuals in Iran & London. 

The release includes handmade limited edition USB stones with ‘Mahsa' (مهسا) engraved on them in Farsi, alongside a digital mixed media download that includes the music and artworks. Mahsa Amini is a 22-year-old Iranian of Kurdish origin who had been arrested for allegedly breaching the Islamic dress code for women and died in suspicious circumstances whilst in custody.  This was the catalyst for the mass public protests that continues to be met by regime-led brutality, leading to the deaths of many other protesters in Iran.






The music has been developed from my 2017 project Parvata (sanskrit for mountain): a one-take live improvisation using photography hung in the performance space to interpret the ancient hindu myth of Parvati - daughter of the mountains: love, loss, death, re-birth and reunion through perseverance. 

Profits from the release will be donated to united4mahsa: a non-governmental, non-profit organisation dedicated to informing international audiences about this uprising’s protests, which have spread across 50+ cities in Iran.  https://www.united4mahsa.com.

Aboutface presents a conceptual performance called: Pensée Sculpture (mind sculpture), which used sound, music and spoken word (in French) to create abstract worlds of art in our minds 🌀🌀🌀💙😵‍💫💙🌀🌀🌀.This performance will be presented by Le Sculpteur d’esprit (The mind sculptor). This performance was orginally developed for Cycardia festival, Nantes, France 20-5-23. Voice over and translation by Noemie Decaen. Time to enter the manifold!

A two-part performance, augmented oil painting and mixed media collage that explores the relationship between technology and nature, using the conceptual transposition of Boolean logic gates used in circuitry, onto the rugged natural landscape of the Roseland Peninsula, Cornwall, with an aim to propose two scenarios of the future: how increased automation and technological advances may lead to conservational utopia, or the decline of the ecological environment and subsequent synthesis of nature.
