Aboutface evokes Eca_tuoba – a multidimensional form-shifting, non-binary spirit who resides in the 5th dimension, to perform an extended Dj set. Join me for a 2 hr special on @1btnradio to celebrate the pre-release of my new LP: The Wampís of Guayabal & Aboutface – Los Bosquesinos, a collaboration with @nacionwampis, exploring 4 songs sung from the perspective of animals—living as people do, in communities—experiencing love, loss, and sentient connection.

100% of sales of the gatefold bio-vinyl go directly to the community to help them confront illegal gold miners who are destroying their Amazonian territory, which also impacts the delicate global carbon balance.

I’ll be playing a few songs from the release alongside other music related to Indigenous cosmovision and the rights of non-humans (plants, animals, and spirits) to have the same rights as humans: to live, thrive, and not be treated as a resource to be exhausted or exploited for human gain.

Step into the mysticism of Morocco, where desert winds meet lantern-lit alleys. “Mirage of the Medina” blends non-lexical Sufi-inspired chants, whispered Arabic blessings (qalb = heart, ruh = spirit, layl = night), and layered group hums with oud arpeggios, darbuka grooves, ney flute sighs, and brass bowl resonance. 

This session is rooted in Maghreb ritual sound — where the medina’s tiled courtyards, incense smoke, and moonlit dunes carry centuries of music, memory, and spirit. Designed for warm nights, deep listening, and trance-like wanderings.
