@kiernan-laveaux:   "This mix was recorded in Cleveland, Ohio in early June 2018, inside a music rehearsal space sandwiched between a ton of inept straight man heavy metal bands. After trying to figure out what best to do for a while this recording came together as an amalgamation of almost only tracks that friends and I have bonded over/remind me of, records that close friends of mind own and let me use specifically for this, and tracks by friends & artists that I have a lot of admiration for. 
          I also wanted it sound very distinctly American and especially “Ohio” in my own interpretation of that style and how my friends play, which is important to take with me everywhere I go. I imagined a sunny weird dance off at @about-blank-berlin curated by all my friends with weird tracks and singing and dancing beneath the sun and birds and foliage. Thanks to @jacob-meehan for having me do this and to anyone who decides to dance with me this Sunday morning (June 17, 2018) at Buttons."

I've been planning to expand upon my first Deep Mind Music mix for a long time now, but it's difficult to whittle down hundreds of tracks that could work into one mix. I was asked to play an ambient set at a small festival my friends organise, and this provided the framework to shape my sprawling playlists into a cohesive set. 

I played at 2.30am sitting on the floor of a small geodesic dome lit up with oil and water projections. This is the live recording of the set.
