Andy Moor and Adam White combine forces under their Whiteroom moniker to re-release their classic collaboration ‘The Whiteroom’ on Anjunabeats.

‘The Whiteroom’ was originally released in 2004 via the trance label Liquid Asset. It’s one of Above & Beyond’s favourite records - it was debuted on episode three of Trance Around The World, and it was included in A&B’s 2004 BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, which won Essential Mix Of The Year. More recently, it was played live by Above & Beyond for the first time in years in their set for Dreamstate Festival, 2019.

A celebrated name in trance music, Andy Moor runs AVA Recordings, and was GRAMMY-nominated for ‘Best Remixed Recording’ in 2007. His connection with Anjunabeats dates back to 2005 when he collaborated with Above & Beyond on ‘Air For Life’. A year later, the track landed on Above & Beyond’s debut studio album, ‘Tri-State’, which recently celebrated its fifteenth birthday. 

The other half of ‘Whiteroom’ is fellow UK-based DJ and producer Adam White. Adam was one of the first Guest Mixers on Above & Beyond’s Trance Around The World and has released on many classic trance labels including Darren Tate’s Mondo Records, Perfecto Records and Platipus Euro. Aside from making music, Adam has also worked as a label manager and A&R consultant for several labels.

Giuseppe de Luca returns to the fold with five vocal contributions, including ‘What Do You Want From Me?’. The track was originally recorded in 1997 by 90’s alternative rock act Monaco, reaching No.11 on the UK single charts. “Great track, turn the snare up”, was the feedback provided by founding member of New Order, Joy Division and Monaco, Peter Hook.

"Man Of The Moment" is a term often used, but we feel there is absolutely no other way of describing the young Russian right now. Since his remix of Ferry Tayle & Static Blue's Trapeze and Tritonal's Utopia, Arty has been the producer everyone wants, and subsequent remixes for the likes of the scenes biggest names, Above & Beyond, Kyau & Albert and Paul van Dyk, and his Beatport No. 1 remix of D-Mad on Enhanced Progressive has cemented his position at the top of the newcomers from the past year. Back on Enhanced Progressive with another brilliant Original, Arty turns out two versions of Twilight Tonight. The Original Mix falls in a similar vein to that of his last two EP's on Enhanced, whilst the Arty Remode vamps up the atmosphere with Arty's trademark power chords with rich pads and synths sending the emotion into orbit. Remixes come from two of Enhanced Prog's favourites, MoodFreak and D-Mad. D-Mad rips up the rulebook and goes for an entirely fresh approach from his usual style, combining stabby synths and bleepy melodies with the wonkiest bassline we've heard in a while! After the trusty team at MT HQ unearthed the vocal talents of singer / songwriter Becca White on the internet, Simon was sold and the rest they say is history!

As OceanLab, Above & Beyond and Justine Suissa have had an incredible year. Their debut album "Sirens Of The Sea" gained widespread critical acclaim, including glowing reviews from Mixmag, DJ Magazine, M8 and IDJ. 

Now they return to close 2008 with "Breaking Ties", their third single from the album. First to the remix platform and fresh from their success in DJ Magazine's Top 100 poll where they achieved the highest British entry at No.4, are Above & Beyond themselves, who have produced a truly sublime club re-work with their "Analogue Haven Mix". Demand for this remix has been off the scale since it made its debut on Above & Beyond's Anjunabeats Volume Six compilation. 

On the b-side of the vinyl release we have a remix from star German producer Martin Roth who delivers his own unique sound once more. Mr Roth is no stranger to remixing OceanLab releases having worked with them on their last single "Miracle".  This mix builds up gradually, first paying homage to the dreamy vocals of Justine Suissa before dropping in the familiar Roth beats. 

To complete the CD and Digital package we have a masterful techy remix from Duderstadt, a deep and melodic Maor Levi remix and a fantastic progressive rework from Jaytech and James Grant, who prove themselves to be a production duo to be reckoned with. There really is something for everyone in this package.
