Biography

DAVE HORNE (aka DJH) is a long-standing presence in the UK’s underground progressive and trance scene. Best known for his warm-up sets at The Gallery at Turnmills during the golden era of London clubbing, he regularly set the tone for artists like Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, and Paul Oakenfold — delivering early-night sets built on restraint, depth, and emotional pacing.

As a producer, Dave’s sound blurs the lines between house and trance — melodic, spacious, and compositionally rich. His early releases on labels such as Baroque Records, Discover Deep, Anjunadeep, Solaris, and Alter Ego earned praise for their clarity and identity. Tracks like The Road to March (under his DJH alias) captured a moment, while Q.E.D. challenged the pace of trance with a deeper, slower aesthetic — released at a time when few were willing to take that risk.

Now in 2025, he remains quiet — but connected. There are murmurs in the background. Something’s building… slowly.

I like this way of expression myself, trough the music. I can play several instruments. 
I liked to experminent, but I love melodies.
