JUAN LOVE & THE AFTER PEOPLE
Proyecto conformado por ABRAM SERRATOS (Voz, Sintetizadores)/(Tecate) e ISAI HIRALES (Sintetizadores, Produccion)/(Mexicali) en Noviembre de 2016 en el Centro de Tijuana. Jugando con los estilos musicales retro y moderno con influencias de musica  HOUSE, DISCO , TRIP HOP Y POP .

Reggae Made in Peru. A unique blend of reggae and rock, carrying a deep, significant message.

Laguna Pai started playing in 2008, in Lima, Perú. With two guitars, synthesizers, classical keyboard sections, and a solid reggae-rock rhythmic base, a new genre was born for the peruvian musical scene.
The message is the band’s priority. Their lyrics are related to crucial thematics: environmental conservation, equity, social inclusion, introspection and spirituality, aiming to generate conscience and awareness through the music they create. 

In 2010, the band finished recording their first album, “Kultura Babylon”, a record distinct in its new, original sound. It was considered one of the best peruvian records released in 2010. With “Atento”, released in 2013,  the band acquired a deeper sound: enveloping synthesizers, profound and prolonged guitar and keyboard solos, harmonious chorus lines, solid bass lines with powerful cadences, and drum patterns that feed from different genres while maintaining a unique personality. 

In 2015, Laguna Pai started and finished the recording process of their third album, “Resiliencia”,  this album was launched on December 4th 2015. “Resiliencia” in spanish or “Resilience” in english, is the capacity to overcome adversity and have the power to move forward with a transformed and positive vision of life and the world. “We named our album “Resiliencia” because right now the world is suffering a lot of traumas, and we believe this is the way to survive and be happy, we need to overcome adversity, we need to transform ourselves and move forward. To transform ourselves is very important, not just to adapt, but to change, to learn from the good and the bad, if we don't do this we will be following the wrong path.”

"Resiliencia" was produced by reggae genius and musical producer Jim Fox, from Lion and Fox Studios. “To really find the sound we are looking for is crucial, for us the most important are Words, Sound and Power. We got the opportunity to work with Fox who is an eminence for reggae music and an amazing person, a master in every way possible, very humble, very conscious, very awake. We finally accomplished the sound we have been looking for, and that is thanks to Jim Fox, with his 40 years of experience he helped us capture the spirituality and magic of reggae music. It’s very important for us to transmit the magic and the message in our music. We believe in music as if it were a spirit and when you listen to it, it invades your being and alters the status quo. It is crucial to change the status quo.”

With this third album, Laguna Pai is reaching new dimensions in their compositions, exploring harmonies and musical arrangements without losing their true essence. They have accomplished a record where you can notice the classic reggae roots influence without losing their unique profound sound. "Resiliencia" is a true journey, you will travel from reflection to forgiveness, from anxiety to peace. It is a set of emotions that find their way into 14 songs. As always, this new musical proposal is aiming to open the path towards change in the world. 

Laguna Pai has played in musical festivals all over Perú, sharing stages with internationally renowned bands such as The Wailers, Damian Marley, Israel Vibration, Steel Pulse, Clinton Fearon, Groundation, SOJA, Los Cafres, Gondwana, among  others.

In 2013, Laguna Pai travelled to California for the HMMA (Hollywood Music in Media Awards) obtaining the award for “best reggae band” in the Reggae category.

Laguna Pai continues to work on their music and tours in hope to expand their music to new latitudes and listeners.

Jamar Rolando McNaughton, using the moniker Chronixx, has ignited a torch in people's hearts the world over and is confidently lighting the path for an entire generation of youths to rediscover roots and culture.

Born October 10, 1992, Chronixx was musically nurtured from an early age by his father, the artist Chronicle, and grew up surrounded by the likes of Burro Banton, Norris Man and Gregory Isaacs. This was before 'Little Chronicle' benefited from the mentorship of Danny Browne with whom he recorded his first tune in 2003. His remarkable ascension in the music industry was in full effect when he began harmonizing for artists such as Lutan Fyah and providing production assistance for tracks sung by Konshens, Munga Honorable, Popcaan and others.

Today, Chronixx is a respected artist in his own right after his career was stimulated by the unfortunate passing of both his blood brother in 2007 and his brother-in-arms, Lil' J.O.E., in 2010. He decided during that period of grief to bypass the difficulties of a young producer seeking external talent by, instead, channeling his energy wholeheartedly as a vocalist. Thankfully, early and unwavering support was received from Zincfence Records producer Romaine 'Teflon' Arnett, who was the first to urge Chronixx to sing the lyrics he was writing for others.

The first EP, Hooked on Chronixx, was released in 2010 and immediately put the budding artist on the radar of music lovers and industry heads alike. Among its 7 tracks, 'Start A Fyah,' 'Capitalist' (featuring Infinite) and 'Behind Curtain' stood out as a fan favorites, reaching far beyond Jamaican shores. Meanwhile, 'Warrior' became Chronixx's first official video and served to alert many more to his arrival.

Chronixx toured for the first time in 2013 when he went to Europe with his own band. Soon afterward, he bestowed a name upon this carefully assembled musical crew: Zincfence Redemption. Altogether, their fascinating stage presence has elevated the Chronixx experience to new and ever increasing heights.

Also in 2013, he and his team were Jamaica's only representation in Nairobi, where he performed as a Peace Ambassador ahead of Kenya's general elections. The next year, he found himself in New York City where he participated in a reggae and jazz series together with living legends Ernest Ranglin and Monty Alexander. By this time, Chronixx had established new and renewed working connections with Sly & Robbie, King Jammy, Leroy Sibbles and, again, Danny Browne.

The Dread & Terrible Project was released in April 2014 with seven tracks plus three dub versions, immediately topping both the Billboard and iTunes reggae charts. Neither an album nor an EP, the Project also includes a short film based on one of its tracks, 'Rastaman Wheel Out.' The film was directed by "The Guru" Ras Kassa and has received high critical acclaim. The hit single, 'Here Comes Trouble' can also be found on The Dread & Terrible Project.

With so much accomplished in so short a time, the world is bracing for greater wonders from this young man who walks with an old soul. For Chronixx himself, music is a mission and history is being made everyday still.
