Responsible for a huge part of the development of the world’s biggest and most reputed electronic music scene, Ellen Allien has been active wearing various hats in music since the late 80’s / early 90’s as an artist, a DJ, a label owner, and a radio show host pushing other artists as far and large as Apparat or Modeselektor, even releasing the debut Moderat Album on her own BPitch Control, to pushing some of the earliest Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann records all the way to being responsible for close to the entirety of Paul Kalkbrenner’s catalog for almost a decade…

User Experience [UX] is the new label project from JoeFarr and has featured many of his own works as well as contributions from Insolate, Kata Mercado, Myler, amongst others.

The tenth edition comes as digital and super limited vinyl, from EKORS a trio that wish to remain anonymous, but with all the secrecy what we do know is they’re from France and judging by the Heretic Timber EP, they are here to shake things up with some real dark and powerful productions.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the opening track called “Balsam Fir” is the least intense of the five on offer, yet still frantic and a total weapon in our book. The gritty atmospherics, pulsing flow and chopping hypnosis are the main body, throw in a multitude of terrifying tone hooks and industrial influences, this analogue jam is an absolute stormer.
